About Keep Digging
Keep Digging is a multiplayer digging survival craft game where up to eight players explore a procedurally generated 5,000-meter underground world. Players mine ores, carry them back to base, smelt them into ingots, and forge equipment using blueprints discovered while exploring.
Version 2.0 overhauls the game systems and map, adds more than 350 items, introduces enchantable orbs, and keeps the original Version 1.0 available as a separate Legacy Mode. The Steam listing covers Windows and includes online co-op, PvP, Steam Cloud, and partial controller support.
01 / THE GUIDE
Digging and Crafting
Players gather ores and other materials while digging underground, then return to their base to use the smelter, which converts ores into ingots. Those ingots feed the forging system, where blueprints found during exploration let you create new equipment.
The game contains more than 350 distinct items, and equipment, blueprints, and orbs all have quality levels. Identical items can perform differently depending on quality, encouraging players to seek better resources for stronger gear.
- Smelt ores into ingots before forging so your inventory stays manageable.
- Prioritize higher-quality blueprints when they appear during a dig.

Enchantments and Orbs
Mysterious orbs are created from gemstones and grant random effects. By combining orbs and stacking multiple effects, players can tailor a single piece of equipment to their preferred approach.
Random stats are added when creating or combining orbs, affecting areas such as digging efficiency, movement, and exploration. Continual refinement of orb setups lets players push performance further as they dig deeper.
- Experiment with different gemstones to discover which random effects suit your style.
- Stack several orbs on one item to amplify the stats you care about most.

Procedural Underground World
Version 2.0 features a completely renewed 5,000-meter-deep map that is procedurally generated for each playthrough. This produces varied terrain, treasure chests, fossils, and exploration routes, so no two expeditions are identical.
Because the world is generated anew, players should explore their surroundings rather than digging straight down, searching for materials and blueprints while planning a safe route back. What you bring home from each dig shapes what you can do on the next one.
- Note promising routes early so the return trip stays safe.
- Open treasure chests and collect fossils for extra discoveries.

Multiplayer and PvP
Online multiplayer supports up to eight players, allowing cooperative digging or competitive encounters. Players can bring equipment and money earned in single-player into shared sessions, expanding the pool of usable resources.
PvP elements create item-stealing encounters between players, and items found in other players' worlds can be taken back to your own. This adds a risk-reward dynamic to both co-op and competitive play.
- Coordinate digging directions with teammates to cover more ground.
- Divide smelting and forging duties so the group spends less time idle at base.

Legacy Mode and Platform Support
Version 1.0 remains playable through Legacy Mode, which can be chosen at the title screen. Version 2.0 and Version 1.0 use separate save data, so you can switch between the original and updated experiences whenever you like.
This Steam listing covers Windows and includes features such as Steam Cloud, partial controller support, the ability to save anytime, and playability without timed input, offering flexible play options.
- Use Legacy Mode to compare the old and new systems directly.
- Keep both versions' saves in mind, since they are stored separately.
