About Jump Space
Jump Space is a mission‑based co‑op PvE where up to four players act as a spaceship crew. Each run presents a hand‑crafted mission that includes random elements, so no two attempts are identical. Players shift between piloting, space‑walking and on‑foot exploration while managing ship health and resources.
The game lets solo players attempt the same missions, but it emphasizes teamwork for tasks such as upgrading, repairing, and defending the vessel. All actions—combat, scavenging, and power‑grid adjustments—are performed in real time, and the experience is supported on Windows with full controller compatibility.
01 / THE GUIDE
Mission Structure
Each mission is hand‑crafted yet contains random elements, guaranteeing that every run differs from the last. Objectives involve both ground and space threats, requiring crews to adapt their tactics as the situation evolves.
During a run, players must manage ship health, gather scavenged parts, and respond to dynamic combat scenarios. The randomisation means teams cannot rely on memorised routes, making coordination essential for success.
- Discuss the mission’s primary goals before launch to align expectations.
- Assign a player to monitor ship integrity while others focus on scavenging.

Seamless Transitions
Players can move from ship control to space‑walking and on‑foot planetary exploration without loading screens. This design lets crews react instantly to threats in any environment, keeping gameplay fluid.
The transition system works for both groups and solo adventurers, preserving consistent controls and camera behavior as the perspective shifts between vehicle and character.
- Practice switching roles in a low‑risk area to reduce confusion during combat.
- Use jetpack thrust early to become comfortable with space‑walk movement.

Ship Management
While on missions, crews scavenge for parts that can upgrade or repair the ship. Modifiers let players adjust speed, defenses, or attack power to match their preferred strategy.
Repairing damage and reallocating power across systems are active tasks; neglecting them can reduce combat effectiveness or leave the vessel vulnerable to enemy fire.
- Keep a reserve of repair kits for unexpected damage spikes.
- Allocate energy to critical systems during heavy fire to maintain survivability.

Combat Dynamics
Combat occurs on planetary surfaces, in zero‑gravity space walks, and during ship‑to‑ship encounters. Players wield a variety of guns and components, each with modifiers that affect performance.
The loop also includes defensive actions such as extinguishing fires on the command deck, meaning crews must balance offense with ship‑wide upkeep during battles.
- Balance firepower upgrades with defensive modifiers to survive prolonged fights.
- Coordinate attacks to focus enemy fire on a single target whenever possible.

Co‑op and Solo Play
Jump Space supports online co‑op for up to four players, but solo adventurers can also complete missions. There are no fixed classes, so each player may take any role at any time.
Teamwork is highlighted through shared responsibilities like piloting, engineering, and combat, yet the game remains accessible for single‑player experiences where one person handles all duties.
- When playing solo, prioritize versatile tools that cover multiple roles.
- In co‑op, assign a dedicated engineer to handle repairs and power distribution.
