About JudgeSim

JudgeSim is a 2D text‑based simulation where you read case files, examine written evidence, and interview accused individuals to determine guilt. After gathering enough information you issue a verdict and assign a punishment that follows the in‑game law, shaping the story’s ending.

Beyond criminal trials, the game offers civil disputes such as divorce, custody, inheritance and compensation. While you resolve these, you must also keep an eye on your finances, family responsibilities, and mental health as corruption, bribes and threats increase.

01 / THE GUIDE

Case Investigation

Each trial begins with a written case file that outlines the alleged crime. You explore text‑based prompts to collect evidence and can talk to accused parties whose statements may reveal clues about guilt or innocence.

As you advance, the amount of accessible evidence shrinks and the logical connections become more intricate, demanding careful reading and cross‑referencing to avoid misjudging a suspect.

  • Record each evidence item in a simple list; patterns often emerge later.
  • Compare statements from different suspects to spot contradictions.

02 / THE GUIDE

Verdict and Punishment

When you feel you have enough facts, you finalize a verdict and assign a punishment that aligns with the in‑game law. The penalty you choose directly influences the narrative branch that follows.

Choosing a punishment that feels too harsh or too lenient can steer the story toward negative outcomes, while a balanced ruling may better align with the law.

  • Review the legal guidelines presented before selecting a penalty.
  • Consider how each punishment might affect later story events.

03 / THE GUIDE

Side Litigation

JudgeSim includes optional civil cases covering divorce, custody, inheritance and compensation. These scenarios present dilemmas drawn from real life, but you are free to resolve them as you wish.

Because the side cases are not bound by a moral compass, they serve as practice for handling complex evidence and for observing how different outcomes impact your resources.

  • Treat side cases as low‑risk opportunities to test reasoning strategies.
  • Notice how each resolution influences your money and family status.

04 / THE GUIDE

Money and Family Management

Financial stability is a core requirement; you must keep expenses under control while supporting your family. Overspending can leave you in a difficult financial position as the game progresses.

Mental health is also tracked; so you should keep up with family duties and look after your mental health.

  • Set a simple monthly budget to avoid unexpected shortfalls.
  • Allocate regular downtime to maintain mental health.

05 / THE GUIDE

Increasing Difficulty

Later stages introduce tougher evidence access, more convoluted case files and stricter punishment guidelines. The learning curve steepens as you progress through the narrative.

Corruption, bribes and threats become more frequent, testing your ability to stay impartial while still meeting family and financial obligations.

  • Re‑examine earlier case notes; they may contain reusable logic.
  • Stay alert for new obstacles such as bribes that can sway outcomes.
