About It's Fine
It’s Fine is an incremental single‑player game that puts you in the last 24‑hour crunch of an indie development studio. You code, upgrade and prestige under the watchful eye of Joe, a demanding dog who also serves as Project Manager.
The game features evolving mechanics at each station, a deep prestige system based on SleepHours, and a Dreamtree that grants permanent meta‑upgrades. Achievements, hidden secrets and alternate endings add extra layers of challenge and replayability.
01 / THE GUIDE
Evolving Mechanics Progression
Every station in It’s Fine introduces its own resources and mechanics that change as you progress, delivering new effects beyond simple number growth. This evolution keeps each playthrough fresh and forces you to adapt strategies.
Examples include a botfarm that generates wishlists for marketing, a legendary Voodoo Kraken you can tame, and Peanut the squirrel who starts by producing clean energy before evolving to shoot lightning across the room.
- Observe how each station’s mechanics shift after upgrades to plan efficient resource chains.
- Compare early‑stage outputs with later‑stage effects to gauge the impact of evolution.

Deep Prestige System
Prestige in It’s Fine is tied to Sleep, allowing you to earn Sleephours—the most valuable currency for an indie developer. Sleeping not only resets progress but also grants lasting benefits for future runs.
The system encourages repeated cycles, each time providing more powerful upgrades and a stronger foundation for tackling the final 24‑hour deadline.
- Balance active coding time with sleep cycles to maximize Sleephours earned.
- Track how many Sleephours each prestige yields to find the most efficient reset point.

Dreamtree Meta‑Upgrades
The Dreamtree unlocks permanent meta‑upgrades, new mechanics and unique effects that persist across all runs. These upgrades are not tied to a single playthrough, giving you a sense of lasting progress.
Investing in the Dreamtree can unlock new mechanics and unique effects that persist across runs, reinforcing the incremental loop.
- Prioritize Dreamtree branches that complement the stations you use most.
- Experiment with different meta‑upgrade paths to discover synergistic effects.

Achievements, Secrets & Challenges
The game includes a range of achievements and hidden challenges, such as setting the room on fire to unlock special effects. Digging for secrets can reveal alternate endings and extra content.
These objectives add optional goals beyond the core crunch, encouraging exploration and experimentation with the evolving systems.
- Check the achievement list regularly to spot challenges you haven’t attempted yet.
- Explore less‑used stations; they often hide the most rewarding secrets.
