About Isle of Reveries
In Isle of Reveries you guide Lief, an owl on a sky‑bound pilgrimage to the mysterious Isle where any wish may be granted. The game blends Metroidvania‑style exploration with Zelda‑inspired dungeons, letting you copy and spawn objects using a fairy companion’s magic.
The world features eight distinct overworld biomes, seven themed dungeons, and a township that grows as rescued characters settle there. Two‑player co‑op is supported locally or via Steam Remote Play Together, and full controller support is included.
01 / THE GUIDE
Overworld Exploration
The overworld is divided into eight separate biomes, each with its own visual style and environmental obstacles. Moving between biomes requires gliding and careful navigation, and hidden paths often lead to useful items.
Progression is non‑linear: abilities gained in dungeons open shortcuts back into earlier biomes, encouraging revisits to areas that were previously inaccessible.
- Notice recurring visual cues; they frequently mark hidden passages.
- Sketch a simple map of biome connections early to reduce backtracking time.

Dungeon Mechanics
Seven dungeons await, each built around a unique theme, distinct mechanics, and a key item that expands your toolkit. The design draws on classic adventure titles, demanding both combat and puzzle solving.
Six of the game's puzzlebox dungeons test your ability to manipulate copied objects alongside your key items.
- Observe each dungeon’s theme; it hints at the type of objects you’ll need to copy.
- Try newly acquired items on earlier puzzles before moving deeper.

Object Copying & Spawning
Lief’s fairy companion lets you duplicate a wide variety of world objects. Copied items can be placed to create platforms, solve puzzles, or aid in combat.
The system retains the original properties of each object, allowing you to combine copies in ways the designers intended for creative problem solving.
- Experiment with objects that have opposite properties to discover unexpected interactions.
- Use copies to bridge gaps before engaging enemies.

Township Building
Rescued anthropomorphic characters relocate to a township you construct. Rescued characters who move in offer new quests and stories, adding depth beyond the main adventure.
The township evolves as more rescued characters settle there, so you can balance construction with continued exploration.
- Prioritize buildings that unlock additional quests early in the playthrough.
- Track which characters appear after completing specific dungeons.

Multiplayer Co‑op
Two separate multiplayer stages let you team up with a friend, either locally or via Steam Remote Play Together. The stages build on the game's object copying and spawning.
These stages are designed for cooperative puzzle solving, so coordinated object placement and communication are key to success.
- Discuss object placement before acting to avoid redundant copies.
- Use the split‑screen view to stay aware of each other’s actions.
