Gameplay Modes
The core experience includes tactical 8v8 Warzone matches where teams of pilots compete across varied terrains, including community‑submitted maps. For faster action, free‑for‑all Deathmatch and Gun Game provide solo competitive play.
Offline mode lets you face AI bots at selectable difficulty, letting you practice loadouts or enjoy battles without an internet connection. Bot support is present in every mode, ensuring you can always start a match.
- Try a lower bot difficulty first to become comfortable with cockpit controls.
- Switch between Warzone and Deathmatch to experience both team strategy and solo pacing.

Mech Customization
Six distinct mech classes provide different combat roles and handling characteristics. Within each class you can configure weapons and install augments to suit your preferred fighting style. Visual customization is available through camo options, allowing you to give your machine a recognizable look.
Loadout choices let you experiment with weapon combinations while retaining the class’s core handling. Camo customization gives your machine a recognizable, personal look.
- Mix and match weapons across classes to discover unexpected synergies.
- Use camo customization to help identify your mech in chaotic battles.

VR Controls & Immersion
Physical controls let you operate switches, touchscreens, and navigation elements with your hands, while controller feedback provides tactile cues. The cockpit minimap displays terrain elevation, team pings, and artillery impacts, keeping battlefield information within reach.
Supported haptic hardware, such as bHaptics, delivers impact sensations, and compatible motion‑simulator rigs (SRS) add an extra layer of physical immersion for players with the appropriate setup.
- Enable bHaptics support if you own the hardware for more visceral feedback.
- Adjust your seated position to comfortably reach all cockpit controls.

Multiplayer & Cross‑Platform Play
Iron Rebellion supports online PvP across PCVR and standalone Meta Quest, allowing pilots on different hardware to compete together. Matches can be joined with friends or joined alongside other pilots online.
Cross‑platform functionality ensures that the player base is shared, reducing wait times and fostering a diverse competitive environment. All multiplayer modes retain the same bot support for practice or filler players.
- Invite friends on either PCVR or Quest to experience seamless cross‑platform battles.
- Use the observer mode to study high‑level matches without joining directly.
