About Into the Radius 2
Into the Radius 2 is a survival experience that can be played alone or with up to three teammates. Solo runs deliver a tense, atmospheric feel, while four‑player online co‑op lets groups share the same missions and story, using built‑in proximity voice chat for real‑time coordination.
The game emphasizes realistic firearms, a deep modular weapon system, and full gear customization. Hostile entities, dangerous anomalies and the recurring Tide cycle force players to adapt tactics, manage light and sound, and equip anti‑distortion gear to stay alive.
01 / THE GUIDE
Solo or Co‑op Play
Players may explore the altered zone alone for a tense, atmospheric experience, or join up to three friends in four‑player online co‑op. Both approaches use the same story missions, so the narrative does not change between solo and group play.
After completing the tutorial mission a player can host a co‑op session. Proximity voice chat is provided, allowing teammates to warn each other or coordinate actions in real time while navigating missions.
- Try a solo run first to learn enemy cues before inviting friends.
- Use the built‑in voice chat to share observations about light and sound.

Modular Weapon System
Every firearm is modeled with realistic detail and can be assembled part‑by‑part. Players can swap barrels, stocks, handguards, optics and other attachments, creating builds that prioritize mobility, control or precision according to personal preference.
Weapons deteriorate over time, and a jam can occur if they are not kept clean. Monitoring each gun’s condition and performing regular cleaning is required to keep firearms reliable during encounters.
- Experiment with different barrel‑stock combos to feel handling changes.
- Monitor each weapon's condition and clean it before long fights.

Customizable Gear Layouts
Chest rigs, armor vests and backpacks can be used as pre‑configured kits or built from scratch. Pouches and holsters may be placed exactly where the player wants them and angled for a natural feel, allowing a loadout that matches playstyle and comfort.
A spray‑paint system lets players recolor backpacks, vests, magazines, attachments, helmets, the tablet and the Explorer’s Uniform. Options include solid colors or layered camouflage patterns, giving each piece a distinct visual identity.
- Position frequently used pouches within easy reach for quicker access.
- Layer camouflage patterns if you prefer a cohesive visual theme.

Hostile Entities and Anomalies
The Radius is populated by Mimics, Fragments, invisible Phantoms and Creeps, each with distinct behavior, movement and weaknesses. Enemies react to what they can see and hear, noticing flashlights and laser sights when those are used nearby.
Anomalies can explode, emit electric shocks, suppress light, attach to the player before detonating, or push the player away while dealing damage. Distortion Zones inflict severe damage each second, and anti‑distortion headgear is required to cross them safely.
- Limit bright lights near enemies to reduce detection.
- Equip anti‑distortion headgear before entering known Distortion Zones.
05 / THE GUIDE
Tide Cycle and Time of Day
The Radius shifts between day and night and follows a recurring “Tide” event that resets each location on its own schedule. Some anomalies are not affected by the Tide, and shelters can be found to wait out the reset safely.
Adapting tactics to the current Tide and time of day is vital; staying aware of light and sound is vital, since enemies notice flashlights and laser sights used nearby, influencing when to engage or retreat.
- Locate shelters early to have safe spots during Tide resets.
- Note how enemy detection responds to your light and sound to plan engagements.
