About Instruments of Destruction
Instruments of Destruction puts you in the seat of Sharpe Industries’ test pilots, handing you a roster of over 130 wild machines—from flying bulldozers to rocket‑armed tanks—to rip apart structures worldwide. The game centers on a physics‑driven demolition playground that spans two campaigns, a dedicated epilogue, and a free‑form sandbox.
All content is single‑player, supports DualShock and DualSense controllers, and saves progress through Steam Cloud. Players can also create and share vehicles, maps, and structures via the Steam Workshop.
01 / THE GUIDE
Advanced Physics‑Based Destruction
The core of the game is a physics playground where every structure reacts realistically to impacts, launches, and chain‑reactions. Vehicles can drive through walls, fling objects into towers, and trigger cascading explosions that ripple across the environment.
This system lets players experiment with piece‑by‑piece deconstruction or large‑scale demolition, providing visual and tactile feedback that highlights how different weapons and vehicle designs interact with the world.
- Combine high‑velocity launches with explosive payloads to amplify chain‑reactions.
- Watch how various structures collapse to plan efficient demolition routes.
02 / THE GUIDE
Campaign Mode
Campaign Mode offers 50+ missions across six regions, each with demolition‑focused objectives. Completing all objectives maxes out the three‑star scoring system and unlocks new vehicles and additional maps.
An epilogue adds 25+ objective‑based missions that teach vehicle‑creation basics, linking the destruction focus with the editor.
- Prioritize mission objectives to secure three‑star ratings before experimenting with extra destruction.
- Select unlocked vehicles that match the weaponry needed for specific mission layouts.

Vehicle Editor
The built‑in editor lets you construct custom machines using chainsaws, lasers, claws, wrecking balls, magnets, vortex generators, and more. Designs can be tested directly in the game’s physics environment.
Created vehicles become playable assets usable in both campaign and sandbox scenarios, and they serve as the gateway to the epilogue’s creation‑focused missions.
- Start with a simple chassis before adding complex gizmos to maintain stability.
- Test weapon combinations in a sandbox level to gauge effectiveness.

Sandbox Mode
Sandbox Mode removes objectives, allowing unrestricted demolition on any unlocked map or custom creation. Players can load any vehicle, including those built in the editor, and wreak havoc at their own pace.
The mode is intended for pure enjoyment of the physics system without mission constraints, letting players experiment freely with vehicles and environments.
- Load a custom map to evaluate how your vehicle handles varied terrain.
- Use sandbox sessions to practice demolition techniques before tackling Challenge Mode.

Steam Workshop Integration
All creations—vehicles, maps, and structures—can be shared through Steam Workshop, where a library of community content is available for download. This extends variety beyond the base game’s offerings.
Workshop items can be imported directly into the editor or sandbox, letting players experience others’ designs or contribute their own to the community.
- Browse the workshop for vehicle ideas that match your preferred playstyle.
- Upload your favorite custom maps to inspire new demolition scenarios for others.
