Hollow Knight WIKI
Maps and route notes
Track unexplored branches, ability gates, benches, and travel links.
THE GUIDE
What to do and why
Mark a reason to return
When a route is blocked, record whether the obstacle looks like a movement gap, locked door, or dangerous encounter. Later, a new ability or item can tell you which markers to revisit first.
Connect safe anchors
Benches and travel points divide Hallownest into practical exploration loops. Before entering an unfamiliar branch, note how you would return to the last safe anchor with your current abilities.
Clear information gaps
If you keep revisiting the same dead end, change the question: look for an unvisited side passage or a different region that may provide the needed ability. Custom map markers exist precisely to preserve those leads.
