About Hidden Cats in Spooky Town
Hidden Cats in Spooky Town is a Halloween‑themed hidden‑object game where players search for cats across a spooky town. Each discovered cat adds to a final colored artwork that culminates in an after‑party scene.
The title offers Normal and Advanced modes, several bonus levels, and a range of accessibility options. It runs on Windows and macOS, supports full controller use, and includes Steam features such as achievements, cloud saves, and family sharing.

Game Modes
Normal Mode places 120 cats in fixed positions and supplies three hints. Because the layout does not change between sessions, each cat’s spot remains consistent for repeat play.
Advanced Mode expands the hunt to 200 cats that appear in random positions each session. It also adds twelve special cats, twenty city people that grant extra hints, and a larger pool of hidden objects to locate.
- Compare the fixed layout of Normal Mode with the random layout of Advanced Mode to see which structure fits your search style.
- In Advanced Mode, locate the city people early to accumulate hints for the more unpredictable cat placements.

Bonus Levels
Special cats discovered in Advanced Mode unlock a series of bonus levels. Each level has its own kitten count, ranging from 50 kittens in smaller scenes to 100 kittens in larger ones.
The listed bonus levels are Ghost House (50 kittens), Mad Doctor's Lab (50), Witch's Cabin (50), Vampire Lair (75), The Graveyard (100), Pumpkin Theme (100), and After Party (100 kittens plus 100 people).
- Unlock bonus levels early to experience the varied environments before completing the main hunt.
- Note the kitten count for each bonus level to estimate the time needed for completion.

Accessibility Options
The game offers Dark Mode, an Invert Mouse option, and several mouse‑related settings such as Zoom, Drag Sensibility, and Edge Screen Scrolling. These options adjust visual contrast and cursor behavior.
Changing these settings does not alter the hidden‑object puzzles themselves, but they can reduce eye strain and improve precision during long search sessions.
- Enable Dark Mode if you prefer lower brightness while hunting cats in dim scenes.
- Adjust Mouse Drag Sensibility to find a cursor speed that matches your precision needs.

- Test a DualSense controller to experience the advertised full controller support.
- Review the Steam Achievements list before starting to set personal milestones.
