About Haunted Heist
Haunted Heist is a round‑based asymmetrical party game for three to eight players. Heisters cooperate to locate and retrieve gems scattered throughout a procedurally generated mansion and bring them to a safe room before the round timer ends. Meanwhile, Tricksters haunt the halls, using disruptive abilities to stop the Heisters.
Matches are short and replayable, encouraging chaotic teamwork and psychological mind‑games. Each side relies on a distinct set of tools—Heisters on firearms, flashlights and limited resources, Tricksters on vision, muting and invisibility—making every round a tense cat‑and‑mouse showdown.
01 / THE GUIDE
Asymmetrical PvP Mayhem
Heisters and Tricksters occupy opposite roles: Heisters must gather gems and survive, while Tricksters aim to sabotage and hunt. Victory for Heisters requires delivering gems before the timer expires; Tricksters win by preventing that outcome.
The round‑based structure creates quick, repeatable sessions where each side can experiment with tactics, fostering a dynamic balance of offense and defense.
- Watch Trickster cooldowns; timing Heister actions during open windows can reduce pressure.
- Plan gem routes early to avoid bottlenecks that give Tricksters easy ambush spots.

Procedurally Generated Mansions
Each round spawns a new mansion layout, offering fresh routes and hiding spots. This procedural design ensures that no two matches feel identical, encouraging players to adapt on the fly.
Changing architecture influences how Tricksters set traps and how Heisters plan gem‑collection paths, keeping the experience unpredictable.
- Spend a moment at the start to scout the layout; early knowledge can guide safer gem routes.
- Lure Tricksters into dead‑ends created by the ever‑changing environment.

Heister Tools and Resources
Heisters are equipped with a handgun, flashlight, flares and defibrillators. They must manage battery life, conserve ammo and stay near teammates to avoid being isolated.
Power‑ups appear throughout the mansion, restoring resources or enhancing equipment, adding a layer of strategic scavenging to the co‑op survival challenge.
- Monitor battery levels; a dark Heister becomes an easy target for Tricksters.
- Grab power‑ups promptly to keep the group resilient.

Trickster Abilities
Tricksters wield night vision, player muting, voice swapping, disguises, invisibility and ambush attacks. Each ability runs on a cooldown, rewarding clever timing and psychological pressure.
These tools let Tricksters create fear, mislead Heisters and strike from the shadows before vanishing, turning every hallway into a potential trap.
- Combine invisibility with muting to approach silently and silence proximity chat.
- Track ability cooldowns; predictable patterns can be exploited by attentive Heisters.
