About GRID/
GRID/ is an arcade‑style boss‑rush action title where you play as the youngest Visual Debugger, confronting Bug Entities that cause system trouble. The game centers on combat across a 7×6 grid, requiring you to dodge enemy zones and unleash powerful RUSH and ULT attacks.
You will face nine distinct bosses and unlock three Debug Tools—Sword, Gunner, and Hammer—each offering a different playstyle. The experience is designed for short, dense sessions and supports single‑player play, Steam achievements, custom volume, partial controller support, and family sharing on Windows and macOS.
01 / THE GUIDE
Boss Battle Structure
Each encounter pits you against a single Bug Entity boss on a 7×6 grid. Enemy attack zones are marked on tiles, and you must move to avoid them while positioning for counter‑attacks. The battles emphasize timing and positioning rather than complex systems.
There are nine bosses in total, providing a varied lineup of challenges. Victory is achieved by depleting the boss’s health using your chosen Debug Tool’s attacks, including the RUSH and ULT abilities.
- Observe the pattern of enemy zones before committing to a dash.
- Switch tools between bosses to match the attack style that feels most comfortable.

Debug Tools Weaponry
Three Debug Tools serve as weapons: Sword, Gunner, and Hammer. The Sword offers balanced speed and quick attacks with a wide‑area ULT. The Gunner provides long‑range fire but leaves you vulnerable while reloading. The Hammer delivers heavy hits, can knock back foes, and features Pulse Plasma to erase projectiles.
You unlock these tools as you progress, allowing you to select the one that best fits your preferred playstyle or the specific boss you face. Each tool has distinct movement and attack characteristics.
- Try the Sword for consistent, low‑downtime combat.
- Use the Hammer’s Pulse Plasma when projectile spam becomes overwhelming.

Grid Movement System
Movement occurs on a fixed 7×6 grid, where each dash moves you to a new tile. Positioning is crucial to stay out of enemy attack zones and to line up attacks. The system is simple and does not involve timed inputs.
Because the game is playable without timed input, you can take the time needed to plan each move, making it suitable for short, focused sessions. The grid layout remains constant across all boss fights.
- Plan two moves ahead to avoid being cornered.
- Use the grid’s edges to limit the directions enemies can approach.

Platform Availability
GRID/ is released on Windows and macOS via Steam, supporting single‑player mode, Steam achievements, custom volume controls, partial controller support, and family sharing. Linux is not listed as a supported platform.
These features indicate that the game can be played on the two major desktop operating systems, and achievements are tracked through Steam’s standard system.
- Enable custom volume controls to balance music and effects to your liking.
- Family Sharing is listed among the game’s supported Steam features.
