About Graze Counter
Graze Counter thrusts players into a 23rd‑century cyber‑shoot‑em‑up where dodging enemy bullets fuels a Graze Counter Gauge. Two pilots begin the fight, and six additional fighters become unlockable as you progress through the five stages.
The core loop mixes bullet‑grazing, gauge charging, and a Break Mode that delivers heavy damage. Single‑player content includes a tutorial, mission challenges, and a timed boss‑rush, with three difficulty levels to suit different skill levels.
01 / THE GUIDE
Graze Counter Gauge
When a fighter narrowly avoids an enemy bullet, the Graze Counter Gauge fills, as the description states “Graze the enemy’s bullets to charge the Graze Counter Gauge!”. Every fighter can later spend this gauge to unleash a powerful counter attack.
This creates a risk‑reward loop: staying close to bullet streams builds charge, and once the gauge is sufficiently filled, the player can trigger the counter for a burst of damage that can turn the tide of a battle.
- Observe bullet patterns and aim to skim the edges rather than fully evading every shot.
- Consider activating the counter when the gauge is near full to maximize its impact.
02 / THE GUIDE
Break Gauge and Break Mode
Stars dropped by enemies and by countered bullets fill a separate Break Gauge. The source notes, “When this is full, you can enter ‘Break Mode’ and do some serious damage to your enemies!”.
Activating Break Mode lets you do serious damage to your enemies, encouraging players to collect stars while grazing and to choose moments when the boost will affect multiple foes.
- Save Break Mode for clusters of enemies to amplify its damage.
- Watch the gauge closely so you can enter Break Mode as soon as it is full.

Fighter Types and Pilots
Eight fighters are listed, each paired with a pilot and a brief description. Type‑1 (G‑01/R April Divider) is a long‑range spread‑shot with low manoeuvrability; Type‑2 (G‑02/B Freedom Dancer) offers high speed and high attack for close‑range combat.
Types 3‑8 include special bits, constant break‑mode power, and high firepower variants. Only two fighters are available at the start; the remaining six become unlockable through gameplay.
- Try the long‑range April Divider early to observe bullet patterns from a safer distance.
- Use the high‑speed Freedom Dancer when you prefer close‑range engagements.

Difficulty Settings
The game offers three difficulty options: Novice, Arcade, and Expert. These are listed directly in the description as “3 difficulties: Novice, Arcade, and Expert.”
Expert is listed as the toughest of the three settings, so players may want to work up from Novice through Arcade.
- Begin on Novice to learn graze timing before moving to Arcade.
- Use Expert runs to practice tight dodging and efficient gauge use.

Single‑Player Modes
Three single‑player modes are described: a tutorial that teaches the basics, a mission mode with specific tasks, and a timed boss‑rush that challenges players to defeat bosses quickly.
These modes provide varied objectives built around the game’s core graze-and-counter gameplay.
- Complete the tutorial first to understand gauge charging before tackling missions.
- In boss‑rush, maintain gauge levels to sustain continuous damage output.
