About Goat Simulator 3
Goat Simulator 3 drops you back onto the island of San Angora, where you control a ragdoll goat that can lick, head‑butt and wreak havoc in a sandbox farmyard. The game’s humor leans on absurd physics and a deliberately chaotic open world.
Up to three friends can join you in local or online co‑op, and a series of post‑launch updates have added new skins, mini‑games, NPCs and events. It runs on Windows via Steam, supports full controller input, achievements and cloud saves.
01 / THE GUIDE
Goat Gameplay
The core experience lets you move a goat around the island, using licking and head‑butting to interact with objects. The tutorial provides the only explicit instruction; after that the game encourages you to discover physics tricks on your own.
Physics‑driven chaos is reinforced by status effects and a variety of environmental props, all designed to produce humorous reactions when the goat collides with them.
- Try different objects to see how the ragdoll reacts.
- Use the tutorial to learn the basic controls before roaming freely.

Co‑op Modes
Three friends can join you as goats in either local split‑screen or online co‑op, sharing the same island and physics engine. This lets groups create joint destruction or compete in the same space.
Co‑op works with full controller support and standard Steam features, so the same chaotic tools are available whether you play side‑by‑side or over the network.
- Coordinate timing of head‑butts for larger chain reactions.
- Test both local and online setups to see which feels smoother.

Customisation
A large selection of skins lets you dress your goat in absurd outfits, from toilet rolls to jetpacks, including tall and stripey variants. The description emphasizes that “there’s a goat for everyone.”
These visual options are purely cosmetic; they do not alter the goat’s abilities or the physics that drive the sandbox.
- Mix skins to create a look that matches your sense of humor.
- Check the store page after updates for newly released outfits.

Mini‑games
The game includes seven mini‑games that provide structured challenges separate from the open‑world sandbox. They can be played solo or with friends, adding competitive or cooperative goals.
Mini‑games still rely on the same physics system, so the chaotic feel remains even when specific objectives are imposed.
- Play a mini‑game with friends to experience the chaos together.
- Practice the basic goat controls in the sandbox before attempting a timed mini‑game.
