About Global Rescue
Global Rescue puts you in charge of building and running an emergency services hub. You choose a location anywhere on the globe, design the base layout, hire staff and maintain a fleet of fire, police, EMS and SWAT vehicles. The game simulates realistic scenarios—fires, traffic accidents, medical emergencies and high‑risk arrests—while traffic reacts to your actions. An integrated mission editor lets you craft custom challenges, and a research tree supports ongoing expansion and upgrades.
01 / THE GUIDE
Base Design and Facilities
You plan the base’s interior, allocating space for wash bays, parking, garages, fuel stations, offices, break rooms and sanitation facilities. The layout influences how quickly vehicles can be readied and how efficiently staff can work.
A wide variety of objects and furniture lets you customize the appearance and functionality of each area, supporting both operational needs and aesthetic preferences.
- Leave clear paths between parking and wash bays to reduce vehicle bottlenecks.
- Balance office space with vehicle facilities to keep staff morale high while maintaining readiness.

Vehicle Fleet Management
You can acquire 27 detailed emergency vehicles from American, European and Asian origins, choosing standard liveries or custom skins. Maintaining the fleet requires parking spaces, garages, wash bays and fuel stations.
Vehicles drive to incidents, park, and staff exit to perform tasks, making upkeep essential for handling daily challenges.
- Regularly schedule washes to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Keep a mix of vehicle types to respond effectively to varied emergencies.

Staff Hiring and Management
You hire personnel for each emergency unit and assign them to tasks such as extinguishing fires, treating injuries, questioning witnesses or arresting suspects. Office and break‑room facilities affect staff efficiency.
Training and research upgrades improve crew performance, allowing more detailed control over each response.
- Invest in training early to boost response speed.
- Monitor staff placement to avoid overcrowding in limited office space.

Mission Coordination and Control
During emergencies you direct vehicles to specific positions, send crews to tasks, and can intervene at any moment to adjust placements. Traffic reacts, backing up behind blocked streets.
Additional tasks like traffic checks, speed checks and alcohol checks can be incorporated into missions for deeper realism.
- Position a vehicle near the incident entrance to speed up crew deployment.
- Use traffic checks to manage road blockades and keep response routes clear.

Mission Editor
The integrated editor lets you create custom operations, defining objectives, locations and scenario details. These user‑generated missions can be shared via Steam Workshop.
Custom missions expand replayability by offering fresh challenges beyond the built‑in scenarios.
- Start with a simple incident before adding multiple objectives.
- Test your mission in a sandbox mode to ensure traffic and AI behave as expected.
