About Ghost hunter

Ghost Hunter is an online multiplayer PvE extraction game that mixes Chinese folklore, mythology and legends. Players become Taoist exorcists, using talismans, magical artifacts and unique supernatural abilities to hunt ghosts, gather supplies and cleanse cursed lands. The game supports both first‑person and third‑person perspectives and allows five players to team up in co‑op missions.

Purchasing the base game grants a free Premium Pass, which provides 6,800 Spirit Stones, exclusive cosmetics and a title. Spirit Stones can be exchanged for talismans, spiritual materials, or redeemed for future Premium Passes, creating a self‑sustaining reward loop. Items dropped in‑game may be sold on the Auction House, with proceeds usable for further purchases.

01 / THE GUIDE

Premium Pass & Spirit Stones

Buying Ghost Hunter unlocks a Premium Pass at zero cost, delivering 6,800 Spirit Stones. These stones can be freely exchanged for talismans, spiritual materials, or used to purchase additional Premium Passes priced at 68 CNY each.

Future Premium Passes also refund Spirit Stones upon completion, allowing players to continue acquiring passes and cosmetics without extra spending. Skins obtained in‑game may be listed on the Auction House, and the resulting Spirit Stones can buy Premium Passes and skins available for Spirit Stone purchase in the store.

  • Track your Spirit Stone balance after each pass redemption to ensure you have enough for the next purchase.
  • Consider listing surplus skins on the Auction House to generate additional Spirit Stones for future upgrades.

02 / THE GUIDE

Taoist Masters & Unique Powers

Players choose from several Taoist master characters, each with distinct abilities such as summoning deities like Lord Guan or casting mid‑air spells that launch flying swords. Exclusive magical weapons—including the Green Dragon Blade, Peach Wood Sword, Yin‑Yang Umbrella and Willow Leaf Whip—provide varied combat styles.

These masters cooperate in five‑player co‑op missions, supporting each other with their specialized powers while confronting ghost kings and other fierce spirits. Selecting a master that matches your preferred playstyle helps shape a personal exorcism approach.

  • Experiment with different masters to discover which ability set complements your teammates best.
  • Pair a master’s deity summons with talismans and magical tools to build your own exorcism style.

03 / THE GUIDE

Capturing and Nurturing Evil Spirits

During combat, Taoist masters can use soul urns to capture weakened evil spirits. Captured spirits can be trained and upgraded, eventually becoming allies that assist in banishing other foes. Spirits range from low‑tier minions to high‑tier boss entities, each offering distinct support skills.

Combining captured spirits with talismans and artifacts lets players exploit each spirit’s strengths while covering personal weaknesses, embodying the “fighting evil with evil” theme central to the game’s folklore focus.

  • Prioritize capturing low‑tier spirits early to build a supportive roster before facing stronger enemies.
  • Combine your Taoist powers with talismans and artifacts to make the most of each spirit’s strengths.

Items, Artifacts, Formations & Pills

The game offers dozens of folk items and magical tools, such as Paralyzing Talismans, Willow Leaves, Golden Blade Talismans and Rejuvenation Talismans. Classic tools include Ink Lines, Bagua Mirrors and Sanqing Bells, while special items feature the Thunderous Formation and Pojun Pills.

These items provide strategic depth, allowing players to freeze enemies, reveal hidden spirits, break curses or heal. Formations and pills further enhance combat effectiveness, supporting varied Chinese‑style exorcism tactics.

  • Mix offensive talismans with Rejuvenation Talismans to maintain survivability during prolonged encounters.
  • Use formation items like the Thunderous Formation when facing groups of enemies for area control.

05 / THE GUIDE

Exploration and Random Events

Ghost Hunter features a large, free‑roaming map with random starting points and no fixed routes. Ghosts, ghost kings, supply points and folk event tasks appear unpredictably, creating a constantly shifting environment. Random item altars and blessing statues also provide occasional boosts.

Side quests expand the experience, including tasks like transporting corpses, ghost weddings and purifying yin energy. These activities deepen immersion in Chinese folklore while unlocking strange tales and hidden stories.

  • Stay alert for sudden ghost king appearances; so treat these encounters as serious challenges.
  • Visit blessing statues when low on resources to quickly replenish abilities.
