About Ghost 1.0
Ghost 1.0 is a metroid‑vania action‑adventure where two super hackers enlist a digital ghost to infiltrate the Nakamura Space Station and steal a legendary electronic secret. The station’s automated defenses constantly attack, prompting the player to destroy weapons, artifacts, and bosses while following humor‑filled dialogue and fully voiced cinematics.
The game offers two distinct modes—Classic, a progressive metroid‑vania experience, and Survival, a faster‑paced run where death erases all progress. Players control a ghost that can leave its robot chassis, possess enemy androids, and wield a variety of endlessly reloading weapons, upgrades, and consumable items.
01 / THE GUIDE
Ghost Abilities
The protagonist is a digital ghost that remotely controls a robot chassis. It can detach, pass through doors and walls, and seize control of enemy androids, allowing the use of the enemies’ own tools against them.
If the current robot chassis is destroyed, the ghost can inhabit another unit or return to its main body, continuing play with a new platform. These abilities are always available and do not require additional inputs.
- Try possessing different enemy types to discover the variety of tools they provide.
- Use the ghost’s wall‑pass ability to reach areas that are otherwise blocked.

Weapon System
All weapons reload automatically and never run out of ammunition, removing the need to conserve ammo for boss encounters. Weapons can be found or purchased depending on the selected game mode, and each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Because ammo is infinite, players can focus on selecting weapons that match their preferred combat style rather than managing resources, allowing continuous fire during extended fights.
- Test each weapon early to learn its specific strengths before committing to a loadout.
- Switch weapons to exploit enemy weaknesses when the situation changes.

Upgrades and Items
Passive upgrades are collected throughout the map and remain active without additional controls; they include aggressive drones, bullet improvements, and other enhancements. The more upgrades obtained, the stronger the player becomes.
Items function as high‑tech equivalents to potions and scrolls and can be used at any time, providing immediate effects that complement the passive upgrades.
- Prioritize upgrades that enhance the weapons you use most often.
- Keep a few consumable items ready for unexpected tough encounters.

Game Modes
Ghost features two modes: Classic, a traditional metroid‑vania progression where new gear appears as you advance and enemies become tougher; and Survival, where gear is acquired quickly, turning the player into a killing machine, but death erases all progress.
The map has roughly 300 rooms divided into zones, each with its own enemies, ambience, soundtrack, and boss, providing a consistent world while altering pacing and risk.
- Start with Classic to learn the map layout before attempting Survival.
- In Survival, focus on rapid upgrade collection to offset the permanent‑death penalty.

Secrets and Geekies
The map contains 200 rooms with hidden secrets that reward permanent power‑ups when a specific action is performed. Collecting all secrets in a level grants a special reward.
Scattered “geekies” are hidden triggers that, when activated, change something related to that geekie in the game, often in humorous or odd ways, encouraging exploration beyond combat.
- Watch for unusual environmental cues that may hint at a secret action.
- Activate geekies to experience unexpected variations and enjoy the built‑in humor.
