About Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved
Geometry Wars™ 3: Dimensions Evolved expands the Geometry Wars series onto three‑dimensional HD grids, where players blast through waves of geometric enemies across more than 100 levels. The package bundles the original Dimensions content and adds new levels, modes, and companion drones.
The title runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and supports single‑player, split‑screen, and online multiplayer. Steam integration supplies achievements, leaderboards, Remote Play Together, Family Sharing, and full controller support.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Gameplay
Players navigate freely on 3D grids while firing twin‑stick shots at swarms of geometric foes. Each level defines enemy wave patterns and counts, creating a fast‑paced arcade experience that relies on movement and aim.
A “Hardcore” option removes all companion drones, presenting a stripped‑down challenge that tracks its own leaderboard. This mode is intended for players who want the pure shooting formula without additional assistance.
- Begin with the standard mode to learn enemy wave structures.
- Try Hardcore after you are comfortable with basic movement and shooting.

Game Modes
The game adds 40 new Classic modes to the existing selection, raising the total level count above 100. Classic modes include variations such as Pacifism, where shooting is disabled, and King, which emphasizes survival against continuous enemy streams.
In addition, 12 distinct battle modes are provided, featuring objectives like Claustrophobia. These modes reuse the same level geometry but alter win conditions, offering diverse challenges within a consistent visual framework.
- Experiment with Pacifism to focus on evasion.
- Use King mode to practice sustained high‑score runs.

Companion Drones
Six companion drones are available: Attack, Collect, Ram, Snipe, Defend and the newly introduced Sweep. Each drone provides a specific function, such as extra firepower, resource collection, or defensive shielding.
Drones are optional in most modes but are disabled in Hardcore, forcing players to rely solely on their own firepower and movement. Their presence or absence directly influences the difficulty of a given level.
- Select Sweep when facing dense enemy clusters for area‑clearance.
- Choose Defend if you prefer additional protection while shooting.

Multiplayer Options
Geometry Wars™ 3 supports cooperative and online competitive multiplayer. Players can team up locally via split‑screen or connect remotely using Steam’s Remote Play Together feature, sharing the same level set as single‑player.
Both cooperative and competitive sessions contribute to community and friend leaderboards, allowing players to compare scores with others regardless of the play mode.
- Use Remote Play Together to invite friends who do not own the game.
- Split‑screen lets two players experience the same level on a single device.
