01 / THE GUIDE
Arcade Mode
Arcade mode lets you pick one of the 12 (+2) available fighters and progress through a series of matches in the Second Southtown tournament. Each fight incorporates the T.O.P. System, Just Defended, and Breaking mechanics, giving players distinct tactical options per round.
The mode serves as the primary single‑player path, allowing you to test each character’s move set and the new mechanics before moving on to other features such as multiplayer or training.
- Experiment with several fighters to see how the T.O.P. System changes their performance.
- Watch the timing cues for Just Defended to reduce incoming damage.

Multiplayer
Through Steam you can join matches using the Invite a Friend and Lobby features. The game supports online PvP as well as shared/split‑screen play, letting you battle friends or strangers locally or over the internet.
All multiplayer results are recorded on Steam Leaderboards, where you can view your current rank and score alongside those of friends and other top fighters at any time.
- Use the lobby to set match options before starting a game.
- Check the leaderboard after each match to see how your rank changes.

Training Mode
Training mode provides a user‑friendly environment where you can practice combos and battle strategies with any unlocked character. It is designed for low‑pressure experimentation before entering competitive matches.
Within training you can explore the T.O.P. System, Just Defended, and Breaking mechanics, allowing you to refine timing and execution without the pressure of a live opponent.
- Focus on one combo at a time to build consistency.
- Repeat the Breaking mechanic to understand its activation conditions.

Leaderboards
Leaderboards display your current rank and score, as well as those of friends and top fighters. They can be checked at any time, providing immediate feedback on performance.
Because the rankings are tied to Steam, they update whenever you finish a match, letting you track progress across sessions and compare against other players.
- Aim for incremental score improvements after each match.
- Compare your rank with friends to create friendly challenges.

Settings
The settings menu lets you configure video options, control mappings, and volume levels to suit your preferences. Full controller support is included, and split‑screen options are available for local play.
Adjusting these options can improve visual clarity and input responsiveness, which are important during fast‑paced fights and when using a gamepad.
- Test controller sensitivity before competitive play.
- Fine‑tune audio levels to hear in‑game cues clearly.
