Strategic Gameplay
Combat centers on giving orders to crew members, managing ship power distribution, and selecting weapon targets. Each decision can change the outcome of a battle, making careful planning essential.
The game presents multiple solutions to challenges, such as rerouting power to engines, boosting weapons, or launching boarding parties, allowing players to choose the approach that fits the situation.
- Consider how shifting power affects shields, weapons and engines before committing.
- Choose weapon targets that align with your current tactical goal.

Pause and Plan
Players can pause the game at any moment during combat, giving time to assess the battlefield and issue commands without pressure. The pause works for both single‑player and remote‑play sessions.
While paused you can adjust power distribution, change crew orders or select new weapon targets, then resume to see the effects of your revised strategy.
- Use pause to review the current state of your ship before making a power shift.
- Adjust crew orders while paused to ensure they execute as intended.

Permadeath
When your ship is destroyed, the game ends permanently; there is no reload or second chance. This mechanic makes every decision carry weight and adds tension to each encounter.
Because death is final, players must manage resources carefully and weigh risks before committing to aggressive actions, reinforcing the survival focus of the experience.
- Treat each encounter as potentially final and avoid unnecessary risks.
- Monitor ship health and power levels closely to prevent sudden loss.
