About Frozen Ship
Frozen Ship puts you in command of a massive mobile city after a climate disaster turned the planet into endless snow. As captain you direct a crew of twenty, build and upgrade ship facilities, and allocate scarce supplies.
The game features a procedurally generated frozen wasteland filled with abandoned settlements, hostile factions, and dangerous wildlife. Exploration, trade, and political choices shape the survival of your expedition and the future of humanity.
01 / THE GUIDE
Open‑World Exploration
Each playthrough generates a new snowy landscape, so routes, resource locations, and hazards differ every time. You leave the ship to hunt, gather, and investigate abandoned sites such as hospitals, shops, and railways.
Exploration ties directly to quests and encounters with other survivors, providing narrative context and practical rewards. The cold environment and predators create constant pressure, requiring careful planning for each outing.
- Mark promising resource sites early to reuse them on later trips.
- Observe predator behavior before venturing deeper into unknown areas.

Settlements and Factions
Scattered survivor settlements act as small towns, each with its own rules, problems, and visions for the future. Some are friendly, others hostile, and many are involved in ongoing faction conflicts.
Your interactions can shift the balance of power, influencing the fate of entire communities and potentially shaping humanity’s future. Aligning with a faction or staying neutral changes the quests and trade opportunities you receive.
- Assess a settlement’s immediate needs before committing resources.
- Consider long‑term effects of siding with a faction on future trade.

Ship and Crew Management
The ship serves as a mobile base where you can build and upgrade buildings, craft items, research technologies, and enact laws. Assign crew members to internal tasks or to gather resources outside.
Crew well‑being is tracked through illness, fatigue, fear, and faith, so you must monitor these indicators to keep the expedition functional and avoid crises.
- Rotate crew assignments to spread fatigue evenly.
- Check health and fear indicators regularly during long expeditions.

Trade and Survival
Resources are vital; you can sell found items, buy rare gear, and complete quests for traders. Successful deals can provide essential supplies, while poor ones may jeopardize the expedition.
Every trade decision directly impacts your ability to survive the endless cold, making careful comparison of offers an important part of gameplay.
- Compare multiple offers before finalizing a trade.
- Prioritize gear that mitigates environmental hazards.
