About Flipping is Hard
Flipping is Hard challenges players with a rotation‑only control scheme and vibration‑based jumps as they guide Flippy through ten vertical areas. The goal is to climb back to Jeff after a banana‑peel mishap, with each slip potentially causing a large drop.
The game offers a solo story, an online co‑op for up to sixteen friends, and an optional Chill Mode that adds checkpoints. Additional content includes NPC side challenges, phone‑case cosmetics, and unlockable classic mobile games.
01 / THE GUIDE
Solo Play
In Solo mode you climb alone, using only rotation and vibration jumps to progress. The narrative follows Flippy’s accidental fall into a storm drain and the quest to reunite with Jeff at the top.
Each of the ten areas ends with a clear goal: reach the summit. Small mistakes can cause a big drop, reinforcing careful timing and steady rotation.
- Begin each area with slow rotations to build confidence before attempting larger jumps.
- Get a feel for the vibration jump timing before attempting larger moves.

Online Co‑op
Up to sixteen players can join a shared climb, helping each other with beams and microwaves. Proximity chat lets teammates yell warnings as mishaps occur.
All participants still rely on rotation‑only movement and vibration jumps, so teamwork focuses on timing, communication, and coordinated use of the environmental tools.
- Synchronize jump timing with teammates to avoid simultaneous drops.
- Use proximity chat to call out dangerous sections before they become a problem.

Movement Mechanics
Flippy has no legs; movement consists solely of rotating the character and performing a vibration‑based jump. Small errors can lead to a “hard climb” where a minor slip results in a large fall.
The design intentionally limits locomotion to heighten the challenge of navigating the ten distinct areas and reaching the final reunion with Jeff.
- Keep rotation inputs smooth to maintain momentum for longer jumps.
- Practice the vibration jump timing carefully to avoid unnecessary drops.

Difficulty Options
Chill Mode adds checkpoints for a more forgiving climb, letting players experience the story with fewer repeated falls. The base difficulty remains unchanged for those who prefer the full challenge.
Speedrun‑friendly features include quick restarts and built‑in split timers, supporting players who wish to master the movement system and improve their times.
- Enable Chill Mode if you prefer narrative flow over frequent restarts.
- Use the split timer to identify sections that benefit from refined rotation control.

- Explore hidden areas for classic mobile games as a fun diversion from the climb.
