About Firefighting Simulator: Ignite
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite puts you in the boots of a U.S. firefighter operating in a sprawling Midwestern city. Missions feature dynamic flames, heat, smoke and hazardous materials, and you can answer calls alone with an NPC crew or with up to three friends. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 to simulate fire physics in real time and includes a fire‑station hub for training and vehicle inspection.
Both single‑player and four‑player co‑op modes require real‑life tactics such as ventilation, cooling, and selecting the correct extinguishing agent. A built‑in level editor lets players create and share custom missions through the Mod io hub, extending the core experience with community‑made scenarios.
01 / THE GUIDE
Career Progression
Your career advances through a series of missions that increase in difficulty, each demanding specific tactics like ventilation, cooling, or obstacle removal. After each call you return to the fire‑station hub, where performance can be reviewed and the next emergency selected.
Eight distinct characters and multiple outfit sets are available, but all share the same core responsibilities. Progress is measured by completing missions and rescuing civilians rather than unlocking hidden abilities.
- Read the mission brief to match tactics with the fire type.
- Use the hub to practice tool usage before tougher calls.

Multiplayer Co‑op
Online co‑op supports up to four players, allowing you to coordinate with friends or rely on NPC crew members in single‑player mode. All participants share the same mission objectives and can operate the same fire engines and tools.
Co‑op does not add separate game modes; it simply adds additional human participants to the standard mission structure.
- Communicate fire type and location to assign roles quickly.
- Synchronize hose placement to maximize water coverage.

Equipment Authenticity
Tools such as hoses, saws, Halligan bars, axes and extinguishers are modeled after real‑world brands like HAIX®, Fire‑Dex and STIHL. Vehicles include licensed Rosenbauer models such as the TP3® Pumper and Viper®.
Each piece functions according to its real‑life purpose; for example, saws cut obstacles while Halligans pry doors, and extinguishers apply the appropriate agent for the fire class.
- Select the extinguishing agent that matches the fire class.
- Inspect each tool in the hub before a mission.

Fire Physics Simulation
Real‑time fire, heat, water and smoke are simulated using Unreal Engine 5 physics, causing flames to spread dynamically and thick smoke to indicate potential backdrafts or flashovers.
Player actions affect the simulation: applying water cools objects, while ventilation reduces smoke density and can slow fire spread.
- Watch smoke movement to anticipate fire spread.
- Cool overheated objects early to prevent flashovers.

Modding & Level Editor
The built‑in level editor lets players design custom missions, which can be shared via the Mod io hub for both PC and console platforms.
Modding adds user‑generated scenarios to the existing engine without altering core gameplay mechanics.
- Start with simple layouts before adding complex fire dynamics.
- Test your mission locally to ensure fire behavior behaves as expected.
