About Fernbus Simulator
Fernbus Simulator lets you drive a licensed MAN Lion’s Coach on Germany’s Autobahn, recreating roughly 20 000 km of FlixBus routes across more than 40 cities. The game models both interior and exterior details, includes authentic passenger announcements, and offers dynamic weather throughout four seasons.
You must navigate a complex network of motorways, handle ticket sales at bus stops, and react to traffic jams, construction sites, and accidents while keeping to a tight schedule. A free‑play mode and an extensive evaluation tool let you explore routes and review performance.

Coach and Cockpit Realism
Both licensed MAN coaches feature original cockpits with extensive functions, mirroring the controls a real driver would use. The interior is modelled in great detail, and authentic passenger announcements add to the realistic atmosphere.
The exterior of each coach is also faithfully reproduced, and the game includes a repaint option that lets you change the bus’s colour scheme without affecting gameplay.
- Rotate the cockpit view to keep important gauges in sight.
- Use the repaint feature to differentiate routes visually.

Route Network and Cities
Approximately 20 000 km of the German FlixBus route network have been recreated, covering more than 40 cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. The map spans 5 000 m² of surface, offering a dense web of motorways and roads.
Each city includes its own bus stations, and you must travel between them while following the schedule. The network’s size creates many possible routes and requires careful planning.
- Use the in‑game map to identify major motorway exits.
- Prioritise routes that pass through larger cities for early progress.

Dynamic Weather and Time Scaling
The simulator features dynamic weather across four seasons, affecting road grip and visibility. You can drive both by day and by night, with lighting and weather conditions changing in real time.
Time passes at a 1:10 scale, so individual tours are shorter while still reflecting realistic distances. Seasonal changes and night driving add variety and require adjustments to speed and braking.
- Reduce speed when rain or snow reduces traction.
- Turn on headlights early during night sections.

Passenger Handling and Ticket Sales
Passengers with a valid ticket board the bus immediately at stops, while others must purchase a new ticket from the driver. This interaction occurs in real time and influences the schedule.
Efficient ticket sales help maintain the tight timetable required for successful tours, as each transaction adds a brief pause before the bus can continue.
- Check tickets quickly to minimise stop time.
- Encourage pre‑purchased tickets for smoother boarding.

Gameplay Modes and Evaluation Tools
Free‑play mode lets you explore routes without the pressure of a timed tour, allowing relaxed practice of difficult sections. The game also includes an extensive evaluation tool that provides detailed feedback after each run.
Steam achievements track milestones, and the evaluation data can be used to improve future performance. These features support both casual play and deeper analysis of driving skills.
- Run the evaluation tool after each tour to spot delays.
- Use free‑play to practise sections with heavy traffic.
