Story and Setting
You join archaeologist Edward’s crew after a dragon’s fossil emits light, leading you to an uncharted island that once thrived a thousand years ago. A girl’s message asks you to save the world, prompting travel between the ancient ruins and the current island to solve its mystery.
The island’s past and present are linked, and exploring both eras reveals why the island fell. The narrative unfolds as you investigate ruins, battle monsters, and interact with the dragon guide.
- Pay attention to environmental clues in both time periods; they often hint at the island’s downfall.
- Talk to NPCs in each era for hints about the girl’s message.

Lives System
The game defines a “Life” as a job, offering fourteen options ranging from gathering to combat. Each Life has its own traits and can be switched at any moment, allowing you to blend activities like fishing, cooking, crafting weapons, or fighting monsters.
Switching Lives lets you tailor your playstyle; you might gather resources with a Gathering Life, then craft a dish using a Crafting Life, and finally battle with a Combat Life.
- Experiment with different Life combos to find efficient loops for resource gathering and crafting.
- Use a Combat Life before entering dungeons to reduce difficulty.

Island Building
Materials collected through Lives can restore the island’s former glory. You can place houses, objects, and even reshape terrain, drawing rivers and roads to design a personal settlement.
Interior decoration is also supported; you may expand your house, add furniture, and arrange décor to suit your taste.
- Prioritize gathering building materials early to speed up island restoration.
- Plan road layouts before placing structures to avoid later re‑arrangement.

Exploration and Movement
The game offers an open‑world continent where you can climb ledges, swim across bodies of water, and ride mounts. These actions remove traditional movement limits, encouraging free exploration.
Mounts and swimming are integrated into the world, allowing you to reach hidden areas and traverse large distances without loading screens.
- Use mounts for long‑distance travel to conserve stamina.
- Swim to discover underwater secrets that may contain rare items.

Multiplayer Options
Up to four players can join online, sharing the island, exploring dungeons, or creating their own activities. If two controllers are present, a 2‑Player Family Co‑op mode lets a second player act as a travel companion without online connection.
The game supports full controller input, including DualShock, DualSense, and Steam Input, making local co‑op accessible on a single console.
- Coordinate Lives among friends to cover gathering, crafting, and combat efficiently.
- Use Family Co‑op for quick local sessions when internet is unavailable.
