About EverRail
EverRail puts you aboard a train that serves as shelter, base, and the last hope for survivors on the frozen exomoon Inara. When a player dies, another passenger steps forward, keeping the journey alive as long as any survivors remain.
Exploration is risky: you must rescue trapped passengers, harvest resources, and manage the train’s battery, which only recharges while the train moves and drains when it stops. Expanding the train with wagons, crafting gear, and using a glider and drones lets you push farther into the procedurally generated world.
01 / THE GUIDE
Train Power Management
The train’s battery recharges whenever the train is moving and drains whenever it stands still, making continuous motion a core survival requirement. If the battery ever reaches zero, the journey ends because the train can no longer move or power its systems.
Because movement restores power, players must balance the time spent exploring, rescuing, and crafting with the need to keep the train in motion. Stopping for too long risks a total power loss, so each decision ties back to this single rule.
- Monitor the battery gauge frequently and plan short movement bursts to keep it charging.
- When a task requires stopping, limit its duration to the minimum needed.

Exploration and Rescue
Players venture into dangerous locations across Inara to locate abandoned facilities, valuable resources, and trapped passengers. Each rescued survivor joins the train’s society, building up your community one survivor at a time.
The world is procedurally generated, so routes, hazards, and resource caches never repeat. This ensures that every expedition presents new challenges and opportunities, requiring fresh planning each run.
- Prioritize rescuing survivors early to increase crew capacity.
- Scout locations quickly to reduce time spent stationary.

Crafting and Train Upgrades
Resources gathered during expeditions can be used to craft weapons, armor, tools, gliders, and essential machinery. Crafting enables you to handle threats and improve efficiency while exploring.
Adding new wagons expands storage, boosts production, and supports more complex logistics. Each wagon increases the train’s capacity to hold items and to process resources, allowing longer trips without returning to base.
- Focus on crafting essential tools before expanding storage.
- Add production‑oriented wagons early to streamline resource processing.

Glider and Scan Drones
The glider provides aerial reconnaissance, letting you view terrain and locate points of interest before landing. This bird‑eye view helps you decide which areas are worth exploring.
Scan drones can be deployed into deep zones to reveal hidden resources and threats from above. Using drones reduces the risk of unexpected encounters when you later approach on foot.
- Fly the glider over unfamiliar zones to map safe paths.
- Deploy drones into deep areas to locate resources before committing.

Multiplayer Co‑op
EverRail supports solo play and online co‑op for up to four players. In co‑op, each participant shares responsibilities such as scouting, crafting, and power monitoring, allowing the group to progress together.
The train’s battery still only recharges while moving, and the world remains procedurally generated, whether you play solo or with others.
- Assign clear roles—one player can focus on scouting while another handles crafting.
- Communicate battery status regularly to avoid collective power loss.
