About Esports Godfather
Esports Godfather is a management simulation card game that puts you in the role of a coach for an esports club. You start with a blank roster, design a playstyle, and guide your players through matches that emulate MOBA competition.
Beyond match tactics you can customize your club’s name and logo, develop players with training plans, and watch your team rise from a semi‑professional squad to a contender for The Worlds championship, with leaderboards tracking weekly, monthly and seasonal performance.
01 / THE GUIDE
team-logo-creation
The game provides tools to create a custom team name and logo, and it also allows you to import local images. Once created, the logo appears on a flag that waves on the battlefield and in community displays.
Each month the community takes part in the most liked team vote, so a distinctive logo can earn attention for clubs that invest effort in their visual identity.
- Try both the built‑in editor and imported images to see which style resonates best with the monthly vote.
- Design with high contrast so the flag remains clear from a distance.
02 / THE GUIDE
hero-draft-building
Before each match you enter a BP (ban‑pick) phase where you select from over 50 heroes. Your choices should reflect the current version and each player’s proficiency to assemble a lineup that can dominate opponents.
The draft you construct directly shapes the flow of the match, letting you pursue strategies such as a Trident composition or a single‑carry focus depending on the heroes you pick.
- Check the version notes before drafting to align hero strengths with the current meta.
- Keep a balanced hero pool so you can adapt to opponent bans and picks.

03 / THE GUIDE
card-command-system
During matches you issue orders through cards that represent actions such as initiating a team fight, ambushing a lane, or pushing an objective. Each card reflects a tactical decision based on the current battlefield situation.
Using the appropriate cards at the right moment lets you react to enemy movements and create openings, turning a well‑timed play into a decisive advantage.
- Maintain a varied deck to handle early skirmishes, mid‑game transitions, and late‑game pushes.
- Observe opponent positioning to time ambush cards for maximum impact.
04 / THE GUIDE
player-development-and-training
As a coach you design training plans tailored to each player's traits, arrange appropriate hero pools, and build tactic card decks to nurture their growth into superstars. Development focuses on both skill and strategic understanding.
Progress is reflected on weekly, monthly and seasonal leaderboards, where standout players earn recognition and fan support.
- Align training plans with the hero pool you intend to draft, reinforcing relevant skills.
- Review match performance after each game to fine‑tune future training focus.
05 / THE GUIDE
version-rules-and-meta-changes
Each game version updates equipment, pacing, and various gameplay aspects, preventing any single strategy from staying dominant forever. Staying aware of these changes is essential for long‑term success.
Adapting to version shifts means revisiting hero drafts, card decks, and training plans so your team remains competitive across seasons.
- Read the version change notes promptly to spot new strengths and weaknesses.
- Test new strategies in lower‑stakes matches before committing them to major competitions.
