About Empyrion - Galactic Survival
Empyrion – Galactic Survival mixes space simulation, construction, survival and first‑person shooting into a sandbox adventure. Players can assemble capital ships, planetary bases and space stations piece by piece, or download community blueprints from the Steam Workshop and modify them.
The galaxy contains many planets, moons and star systems, each with its own gravity, atmosphere, vegetation and resources. Survival depends on managing food, oxygen, ammo and weapons while dealing with hostile fauna or rival players in PvE and PvP zones.
01 / THE GUIDE
Construction Freedom
The voxel‑based terrain lets you flatten land, dig tunnels or carve caves on any planet, giving total control over where settlements are placed and how they are protected.
Community blueprints are available through the Steam Workshop; you can download them and then edit the design to suit your own ideas before building.
- Test terrain deformation in a small area before reshaping a large base.
- Start with a workshop blueprint and replace one component to learn the editing workflow.

Galaxy Exploration
Warp travel lets you move between a huge variety of planets, moons and distant star systems, each featuring distinct gravity, atmosphere, vegetation and climate.
Exploring a planet’s surface reveals resources, alien flora, fauna and remnants of unknown races, encouraging careful planning before landing.
- Record planetary conditions on first visit to avoid unexpected hazards later.
- Mark resource‑rich zones on a map for future expeditions.

Survival Management
Food, oxygen, resources and ammunition are essential for staying alive on alien worlds; you can hunt, forage, plant gardens or scavenge alien structures to replenish them.
Hostile creatures may attack, so equipping weapons and defensive measures is necessary for both PvE encounters and PvP conflicts.
- Keep a small reserve of food and oxygen before long trips.
- Place simple defensive structures near base entrances to deter attackers.

Multiplayer Dynamics
You can play alone in single‑player mode or join friends in online co‑op, LAN co‑op or PvP sessions, forming alliances, sharing bases and waging wars across star systems.
Factions may claim PvE safe zones or contest PvP planets, adding a strategic layer to territorial control.
- Coordinate building tasks with teammates to speed construction.
- Agree on boundaries before entering a contested PvP planet.

Tech Tree & Crafting
Performing activities such as mining, hunting and building grants experience, which unlocks new technologies in the tech tree for advanced weapons, gadgets and construction components.
Crafting can be done on the move or inside bases, allowing you to equip vessels and structures with a range of weapons and gadgets.
- Focus early tech upgrades on resource extraction to boost later projects.
- Create modular components that can be swapped between ships for flexibility.
