About Ember Knights
Ember Knights is a fast‑paced action rogue‑lite where players become the last spark of hope against Praxis, a mad sorcerer who has drained the Ember Tree and spread corruption across four Prime Worlds. The game supports solo play and cooperative sessions for up to four players, letting teams hack and slash through hordes while restoring the Ember Tree’s energy.
Combat revolves around chaining attacks and timing swings to trigger fiery effects. With seven distinct weapons, nine modifications per weapon, twenty skills, and over a hundred relics, players can craft hundreds of builds, from fire‑spreading scythe wielders to poison‑laden archers, and adapt those builds to each encounter.
01 / THE GUIDE
Combat Flow
Each combat room requires players to chain attacks and perfectly time swings to unleash fiery attacks, rewarding rhythmic play and precise positioning. Agility and dodge mechanics let players outsmart, counter, and stun enemies, creating a loop of attack and evasion.
Success depends on learning enemy patterns and adjusting timing on the fly. Whether solo or in co‑op, players must read cues, manage spacing, and execute combos to survive the varied monster assaults.
- Watch enemy wind‑up animations before committing to a swing.
- Practice short attack chains in low‑risk rooms to refine timing.

Weapon & Modification System
The game offers seven distinct weapons, each with nine modifications, enabling a large variety of builds. Modifications alter weapon behavior, allowing players to emphasize damage type, attack speed, or utility.
Because each weapon can host up to nine modifications, players can experiment with combinations that suit their preferred playstyle or complement teammates in co‑op, creating unique synergies for each run.
- Mix offensive and defensive mods to balance burst damage with survivability.
- Swap mods between runs to discover unexpected interactions.

Enemy Variety
Over 60 unique monsters and variations populate the Prime Worlds, each with distinct attacks and behaviors, ranging from beasts and specters to mechanized amphibians.
Elite and Champion versions of these foes present heightened resistance and damage, forcing players to adapt tactics or modify builds mid‑run to overcome the increased challenge.
- Identify a monster’s primary attack before engaging to choose optimal dodge timing.
- Prioritize high‑damage elites when playing with teammates to reduce overall threat.

Co‑op Play
Up to four players can join online or via shared/split screen co‑op, allowing coordinated combos and role‑based synergies. The split‑screen option lets friends play together on a single system.
Co‑op encourages complementary builds, such as pairing a damage‑resistant spellcaster with a high‑damage archer, enabling teams to cover each other's weaknesses during elite encounters.
- Discuss build choices before a run to maximize complementary strengths.
- Use split‑screen co‑op to keep visual awareness of teammate positioning.

Free Update Modes
A free update adds three new game modes: Daily Dungeon, Boss Rush, and Chaos Run. Each mode presents a distinct challenge structure, from daily dungeon runs to consecutive boss battles.
These modes provide additional replay value, letting players test specific builds or skills without progressing through the full campaign, and offering fresh ways to engage with the game's combat systems.
- Use Daily Dungeon to trial a single‑run build before longer attempts.
- Run Boss Rush to gauge damage spikes against elite enemies.
