About Dyson Sphere Program
Dyson Sphere Program is a sci‑fi sandbox construction game where you act as a space engineer for the COSMO alliance. Starting from a small workshop, you expand factories across planets and star systems, ultimately building a Dyson Sphere to power the CentreBrain supercomputer. The universe is procedurally generated, offering varied celestial bodies and unique planetary resources for exploration and automation.
01 / THE GUIDE
Procedurally Generated Galaxy
Each playthrough creates a brand‑new starmap with random planets, mineral distributions, and celestial bodies such as neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants, and black holes. This ensures that resource locations and planetary layouts differ every time you start a game.
The random generation also affects day‑night cycles, as each planet orbits its star and experiences rotation and revolution, influencing lighting and production timing.
- Scout multiple planets early to locate rare resources before committing to large factories.
- Use the day‑night cycle to schedule energy‑intensive processes during daylight for smoother power management.

Factory Automation Fundamentals
Factories rely on conveyor belts that snap to a grid, automatically aligning when placed. This snapping speeds up the creation of large‑scale production lines and reduces manual adjustment.
Blueprints let you save complete factory designs and redeploy them elsewhere, cutting down repetitive construction across planets.
- Begin with simple belt loops to test resource flow before expanding.
- Save frequently used layouts as blueprints to replicate efficient designs on new worlds.

Interstellar Transport Networks
Because a single planet’s resources are limited, you can connect planets with fleets of transport ships to import raw materials. These routes keep factories supplied even when local deposits run low.
Transport ships move resources between star systems, enabling continuous production for large projects like Dyson Spheres.
- Prioritize establishing routes from resource‑rich planets before scaling factories.
- Monitor ship travel times to avoid bottlenecks in critical material supply.

Building Dyson Spheres
Dyson Spheres are constructed by assembling Dyson Shell layers on multiple orbits. Each layer can be customized, and nodes can be connected to create unique patterns.
Automation is essential: factories must produce the massive quantities of components needed, and efficient transport ensures those components reach the construction sites.
- Focus on scaling up component production before attempting the first shell layer.
- Use blueprints to replicate successful shell segment designs across different orbits.

Defending Against the Dark Fog
The Dark Fog periodically attacks factories, targeting both structures and the player’s mecha, Icarus. Defense facilities can launch “fireworks” to disperse the fog.
Higher activity levels increase attack frequency, so balancing production and defense is crucial for uninterrupted progress.
- Place defense structures near high‑value production lines to protect them first.
- Don’t rely solely on Icarus; diversify defenses to handle larger fog waves.
