From February 15 2022 the game offers English, French, German, Italian and Spanish translations. The language choice does not reset progress, allowing the same save file to be loaded regardless of the selected language.
When a language is changed, any custom officer names and original‑timeline officer names are swapped for generic placeholders, ensuring the save data remains compatible while the displayed names differ.

Officer character and trust influence the nation's power through the Politics system. Interactions among officers determine the foundations of a force, and players may act as Rulers, Generals, Unaffiliated officers and more.

Edit Mode returns, letting players build Custom Officers from a wide selection of parts. The game features 94 Musou Officers and over 700 Generic Officers from DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, dramatically populating your own Dynasty Warriors experience.
