About Dungeon Deathball

Dungeon Deathball is a turn‑based tactical death‑sport where captive teams battle savage beasts in a randomly‑generated gauntlet to score touchdowns and earn freedom. Each run presents new monsters, traps and teammates, and failure means death.

The game includes Daily Challenge, Judgment Mode and Action Mode, plus Steam Achievements, leaderboards, full controller, keyboard‑only and mouse‑only support, and Steam Cloud saves for cross‑device continuity.

01 / THE GUIDE

Turn‑Based Combat

Combat unfolds in quick, turn‑based rounds that finish in minutes, encouraging fast‑paced, arcade‑style tactics. Before each turn, every monster reveals its planned action, giving the player a clear window to react.

Using the revealed plans is essential: you can dodge attacks, outmaneuver foes, or manipulate a monster’s move to affect another enemy, turning information into advantage.

  • Watch each monster’s plan reveal before deciding your move.
  • Consider how a monster’s announced attack could affect a nearby foe.

02 / THE GUIDE

Randomized Gauntlet

Opponents, traps and team members are generated anew for every run, guaranteeing a unique set of challenges each time you play. This procedural variety prevents memorisation of a single layout.

Because the gauntlet changes on each attempt, players must adapt strategies on the fly rather than rely on fixed patterns, keeping each session fresh.

  • Treat each run as a new puzzle; avoid assuming previous layouts repeat.
  • Experiment with different team combos to handle varied threats.

03 / THE GUIDE

Team Customisation

You can recruit unique characters, unlock their special skills and learn their names before leading them into battle. Each recruit adds a distinct tactical option to your squad.

Special skills provide varied ways to approach the same gauntlet, allowing you to build squads that complement each other's abilities for balanced tactics.

  • Mix characters with complementary skills for balanced tactics.
  • Review each recruit’s special ability before committing to a run.

04 / THE GUIDE

Game Modes

Beyond the standard gauntlet, the game offers Daily Challenge, Judgment Mode (re‑facing the final boss) and Action Mode, each testing skills in a different pacing or objective.

Over 80 achievements are tied to unlocking these advanced challenges, providing clear goals for players who wish to explore every mode.

  • Try Action Mode for a quicker pacing experience.
  • Use Daily Challenges to practice specific tactics.

05 / THE GUIDE

Leaderboards & Achievements

Steam Achievements and Leaderboards track performance, with more than 80 achievements linked to unlocking advanced challenges. Posting scores globally lets you compare results with the community.

These systems create long‑term objectives and a competitive environment, encouraging players to improve scores and complete achievement milestones.

  • Aim for high scores in Action Mode to climb leaderboards faster.
  • Complete achievements to unlock new challenges.
