Faction Leadership
Each major house—such as Duke Leto Atreides, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, Esmar Tuek, or Liet Kynes—comes with its own unique abilities and playstyle, shaping strategic options from the start.
You can further customize a house by selecting councilors, which enhance strengths or mitigate weaknesses, shaping how your house performs throughout a match.
- Experiment with different councilor combos early to see which align with your preferred approach.
- Consider a house’s natural strengths when choosing councilors for a balanced start.
02 / THE GUIDE
Spice Economy
Spice is described as the most valuable resource in the universe and is harvested on Arrakis using spice harvesters and supporting buildings, forming the core of your economic engine.
Protecting harvesters from sandworms and enemy raids is essential, as loss of harvesters directly reduces spice income and hampers expansion.
- Place early harvesters in low‑risk regions to secure a steady income.
- Add defensive measures when sandworm activity is high.

03 / THE GUIDE
Political Influence
The Landsraad allows players to vote on political resolutions that can shift power balances, affect relationships, and influence victory conditions.
Secretive agents can be deployed to sabotage opponents, providing a non‑military path to weaken rivals and sway political outcomes.
- Use spies before key votes to disrupt rival plans.
- Monitor resolution proposals to anticipate their impact.

Combat and Warfare
Troops, spaceships, and aircraft can be deployed to seize territory, but aggressive assaults may trigger political repercussions.
Scanning the landscape for wormsign is vital; sandworms can burst through dunes and destroy units and harvesters.
- Scout with ornithopters to locate wormsign before moving ground forces.
- Balance offensive pushes with diplomatic actions to limit backlash.

Multiplayer Setup
Multiplayer supports free‑for‑all or 2v2 matches for up to four players, with options to adjust AI difficulty, map size, victory conditions, sandworm aggression, storms, and the number of Sietches.
Tailoring these parameters lets groups explore different faction synergies and environmental challenges, creating varied strategic experiences.
- Vary sandworm aggression to test each house’s resilience.
- Combine factions with complementary councilors for balanced team play.
