About Duel Corp.
Duel Corp. is an action‑RPG that blends Souls‑style directional combat with a sandbox world that feels like an MMO. The pixel‑art retro fantasy setting features 2D HD textures, procedural encounters, and multiple factions shaped by a world‑darkening event.
Players can explore solo or join up to three companions in co‑op, and can also enter 1v1 or 2v2 PvP matches. A fully unrestricted class system lets you mix any weapons, armor, abilities and talents.

Character Customization
A built‑in character editor lets you adjust your avatar’s visual appearance before entering the world. The description specifies this editor is for appearance only, allowing you to create a look that matches your personal taste.
The same editor does not limit the class you will build later; class creation is handled separately by the unrestricted class system. This separation means visual choices do not constrain weapon or ability selection.
- Try several visual styles to see which you prefer when meeting other players.
- Remember that appearance changes do not affect the weapons or abilities you can later equip.

Directional Combat
Combat is described as intense, challenging and fluid, relying on direction‑based inputs. Players must time attacks and defenses according to the angle of enemy strikes, making positioning a core element of each encounter.
These directional mechanics apply both in solo play and in multiplayer modes, meaning the same timing and angle awareness is required whether you fight alone, with companions, or in PvP duels.
- Watch enemy animation cues to anticipate the direction of their next attack.
- When playing with teammates, position yourself to cover angles they cannot see.

Open‑World Sandbox
Player actions such as intercepting caravans, exploiting faction conflicts, or conquering villages directly shape the world. These actions can weaken settlements, alter faction power, and affect the taxes you collect.
Encounters are procedurally generated, providing varied secrets, unique items, allies and challenges. This procedural design encourages you to apply your acquired skills in new, unpredictable situations.
- Consider how intercepting a caravan might reduce resources for a faction you wish to support.
- Use low‑risk procedural encounters to test unconventional weapon‑ability combos.

Multiplayer Modes
Co‑op quests support up to four players, allowing you to customize each companion’s equipment and skills to fit a shared strategy. The description emphasizes cooperative play without specifying a separate world instance.
Competitive PvP offers 1v1 and 2v2 battles, and a matchmaking feature lets you join these matches quickly. Both co‑op and PvP use the same directional combat system.
- Discuss each teammate’s class focus before starting a co‑op quest to avoid overlapping roles.
- Use PvP matches to observe how different class builds handle the same directional challenges.

Platform Features
Duel Corp. runs on Windows and lists DualShock, DualSense and partial controller support, alongside Steam achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Leaderboards and Family Sharing. These are the only platform‑related features documented.
The presence of Steam Cloud means saved data can be stored on Steam’s servers, while Steam Leaderboards track performance relative to other players. No other gameplay mechanics are tied to these features.
- Enable Steam Cloud if you plan to reinstall the game on the same account.
- Check the leaderboards periodically to see where your performance ranks among peers.
