About Drunken Wrestlers
Drunken Wrestlers is a minimalistic ragdoll fighting game that was created in just seven days for the NextCastle DevCup 2013 contest. The game pits two drunken competitors against each other, with the aim of making the opponent lose balance or suffer critical damage.
Originally released on mobile, the title was later re‑uploaded to Steam after being removed from the Google Play Store. It supports both single‑player and various multiplayer modes, including shared‑screen play on a single device and remote play via Steam’s Remote Play Together feature.
01 / THE GUIDE
Gameplay Objective
The core goal in Drunken Wrestlers is to force your opponent to lose balance or to inflict critical damage. Success is measured by how effectively you can destabilize the ragdoll opponent during a bout.
Each bout focuses on physics‑based interactions, where the ragdoll nature of the characters makes balance a central mechanic. Players must time pushes and strikes to tip the opponent over or cause a damaging impact.
- Observe how the ragdoll reacts to different angles of impact for better balance control.
- Practice timing your attacks to maximize the chance of critical damage.

Match Structure
A match in Drunken Wrestlers consists of a series of rounds, with the first player to reach five wins declared the victor. Each win is earned by successfully destabilizing the opponent or delivering critical damage in a round.
The five‑win format creates a short, fast‑paced experience that encourages repeated attempts and quick learning of the ragdoll physics.
- Focus on early rounds to build momentum toward the five‑win goal.
- Use each loss as a chance to study opponent balance patterns.

Local Co‑op Play
Drunken Wrestlers includes an option to play together on one device, allowing two players to share the same screen. This shared‑screen mode supports both PvP and cooperative experimentation with the ragdoll mechanics.
The local co‑op setup is ideal for quick, face‑to‑face matches without needing additional hardware, fitting the game’s casual, party‑style design.
- Keep the device steady to avoid accidental input drift during shared play.
- Take turns controlling each wrestler to experience both offensive and defensive roles.

Remote Play Together
Through Steam’s Remote Play Together feature, Drunken Wrestlers can be streamed to a remote friend who joins the session using their own input device. This extends the multiplayer experience beyond a single physical location.
Remote Play Together maintains the same shared‑screen dynamics, letting friends compete online while the host runs the game locally.
- Ensure a stable internet connection for smooth remote streaming.
- Communicate verbally to coordinate attacks and avoid accidental friendly fire.
