About Dream Tactics
Dream Tactics mixes tactical RPG combat with a card‑driven system. Players guide Neru and up to three allies through the Dream World, drawing a fresh hand each turn and using multiple cards per character to build combos. Over 100 cards are available, and decks can be customized and traded among party members.
The game presents a surreal, GBA‑inspired visual style populated by fluffy pillow enemies and varied terrain. As characters level, they can equip more items, each with a cost, while new allies add unique card pools, expanding strategic options throughout the single‑player adventure.
01 / THE GUIDE
Card Combos
Each turn every character draws a completely new hand of cards, giving a fresh selection of resources to use that round. Multiple cards can be played by a single character, allowing layered attacks or defenses within the same turn.
Points can be spent to redraw cards, letting players replace an unsatisfactory hand with a new one. This mechanic offers a way to mitigate the randomness of draws and to aim for specific combos when needed.
- Reserve redraw points for battles where a particular combo could change the outcome.
- Try different card sequences to discover which combinations produce the strongest effects.

Party Assembly
Along the journey players can recruit a variety of allies, each bringing a distinct set of cards. Up to four party members may be taken into battle, letting you shape the team around your preferred tactics.
Any character can use any card after it is traded, so the cards supplied by allies can be redistributed to create hybrid play styles that suit different encounters.
- Mix allies that provide both offensive and defensive cards for a balanced roster.
- Trade cards between characters to fill gaps in your strategy without recruiting new allies.

Equipment Management
Characters gain the ability to equip more items as they level up, but each item carries a cost. Deciding which gear to purchase involves weighing its benefit against that cost.
Higher levels increase the number of items a character can carry, encouraging players to prioritize equipment that complements their card combos and overall battle plan.
- Focus on gear that directly enhances the cards you use most often.
- Track item costs to avoid spending on equipment with minimal impact.

Terrain Use
The Dream World’s landscape offers positional advantages that can be leveraged during combat. Using the landscape can help you outmaneuver opponents and shape how battles unfold.
Enemies can also exploit the same terrain, so neglecting environmental features may leave your party vulnerable to counter‑attacks.
- Position characters on advantageous terrain before enemy turns to gain an edge.
- Observe enemy placement to anticipate how they might use the same features against you.

Exploration Rewards
Exploring the islands of the Dream World yields cards, items, and other treasures. Searching these islands can yield treasures that strengthen your decks and equipment.
Pillow foes appear throughout the world; despite their cute appearance they pose genuine threats, adding risk to the reward‑driven exploration.
- Investigate off‑the‑grid areas for cards, but keep defensive options ready for pillow encounters.
- Balance the desire for treasure with the potential danger of stronger enemies in remote zones.
