About Dread X Collection 2
Dread X Collection 2 drops you into a dimly lit room with a single TV, a VCR, and mysterious tapes sealed in steel coffins. By finding a key on the VCR you unlock a tape and begin a series of horror experiences.
The anthology gathers twelve indie developers who each had ten days to craft a unique terror game, all linked by a Lovecraft‑inspired theme. An interactive launcher lets you play its own mini‑game or skip straight to the twelve titles, offering varied graphics, characters, and play styles.

Launcher Mini‑Game
An interactive launcher is included, featuring its own short game that can be played before diving into the anthology. Players also have the option to skip this launcher entirely.
The launcher itself is credited to Lovely Hellplace, adding an extra layer of content beyond the twelve main titles.
- Try the launcher if you enjoy meta‑experiences before the main horror games.
- Skipping the launcher saves time if you prefer to jump straight into the scares.

Lovecraft‑Themed Vision
The anthology’s creative brief centered on “LOVECRAFTING,” prompting developers to interpret Lovecraftian concepts in varied ways. This does not guarantee specific monsters, crafting mechanics, or romance narratives; each game decides its own take.
Examples include eldritch romance in “Sucker for Love” and cosmic horror in “Touched by an Outer God,” illustrating the breadth of possible interpretations.
- Expect each game to handle Lovecraftian ideas uniquely.
- Look for thematic clues in titles and descriptions to anticipate tone.
