About Dota Underlords
Dota Underlords is an auto‑battler where strategic planning outweighs twitch reflexes. Players recruit heroes, form alliances, and select one of four Underlords to lead a crew that fights automatically on a board. The game offers single‑player and multiplayer options, including ranked ladders and private lobbies.
Season One adds a City Crawl campaign and a Battle Pass with over 100 cosmetic rewards. Progression, cross‑play, and Steam Cloud let a single profile travel between Windows, macOS, and Linux, while offline AI with four difficulty levels provides a practice space without internet.

Game Modes
Standard matches deliver the full strategic experience, Knockout provides a fast elimination format, and Duos lets two friends cooperate in a co‑op match. An offline mode offers AI opponents at four difficulty levels for practice without an internet connection.
All multiplayer modes support cross‑play, so players on Windows, macOS, or Linux can face each other. Ranked matchmaking starts everyone at the bottom of a ladder, allowing progress by winning matches against other Underlords.

City Crawl Campaign
The City Crawl narrative follows the power vacuum left by Mama Eeb’s death in White Spire. Players advance neighborhood by neighborhood, completing puzzle challenges and quick street‑fights to clear paths and take control of the city.
Progress in the campaign unlocks cosmetic rewards such as new outfits, wanted‑poster artwork, victory dances, and titles. These rewards also contribute to Battle Pass leveling, giving an extra incentive to explore the campaign.

Battle Pass
Season One’s Battle Pass offers over 100 rewards, including new boards, weather effects, profile customizations, and skins. Players earn these by playing matches, completing challenges, and unlocking areas of the City Crawl.
The Pass can be purchased for $4.99 on all platforms, but many rewards are also obtainable for free through regular play. Purchasing the Pass does not provide any gameplay advantage, only a faster path to cosmetics.

Cross‑Play and Progression
Dota Underlords supports cross‑play across Windows, macOS, and Linux, letting players compete regardless of operating system. Steam Cloud synchronizes a single profile across these platforms.
Because the profile is shared, any progress—such as unlocked heroes, Underlords, or Battle Pass level—is visible on every supported device, ensuring continuity without separate accounts.

Underlords and Hero Alliances
Players choose from four distinct Underlords, each fighting alongside recruited heroes and providing unique perks, playstyles, and abilities. Underlords appear on the battlefield as powerful units that contribute to combat outcomes.
Heroes belong to various alliances; stacking multiple heroes from the same alliance unlocks powerful bonuses. Upgrading heroes creates stronger versions, enhancing the synergy of chosen alliances and increasing overall team strength.
