About Door Kickers 2: Task Force North
Door Kickers 2: Task Force North expands the tactical, top‑down experience of its predecessor with real‑time pause‑at‑will combat set in the fictional Middle‑Eastern nation of Nowheraki. Players command specialised units—U.S. Army Rangers, CIA Special Activities, or Nowheraki SWAT—through handcrafted or procedurally generated missions, using tools like breaching charges, night‑vision goggles and suppressive fire.
The game offers a robust editor, Steam Workshop integration, and online co‑op for up to four players, plus optional Iron Man mode where fallen troopers stay dead. Full Steam Deck and touch‑screen support let you take the action anywhere.

Unit Selection
Three distinct forces are available: U.S. Army Rangers, CIA Special Activities Division, and Nowheraki SWAT. Each faction brings its own playstyle, equipment and tactical doctrine, influencing how missions are approached.
Choosing a unit determines the default gear and tactics you’ll employ, but any strategy can be adapted within the limits of that unit’s tools and abilities.
- Match unit strengths to mission objectives—for example, Rangers for firepower, CIA for covert entry.
- Experiment with each unit to discover which playstyle fits your preferred approach.

Mission Types
The game provides over 90 handcrafted missions, plus Handcrafted and Generated Campaigns, a Random Mission Generator, and a full‑blown Mission & Level Editor for custom content.
Missions can be played solo or with up to four players in online co‑op, each bringing their own squad to complete objectives together.
- Use the editor to tailor challenges to your team’s strengths.
- Try the Random Mission Generator for fresh scenarios after completing the main missions.

Combat Tools
Players have access to breaching charges for wall entry, Light Machine Guns for suppressive fire, and Night Vision Goggles for low‑light operations. The environment is destructible, allowing alternate routes.
Threats such as suicide bombers, IEDs and RPGs appear, requiring careful planning and the right equipment to neutralise.
- Deploy breaching charges early to create new sightlines.
- Use night‑vision when operating in darkness to maintain visibility.

Iron Man Mode
An optional difficulty setting where any trooper killed during campaign missions is permanently lost. In this mode, “Dead stays dead*”.
The mode adds permanent consequence to each decision, increasing tension and strategic weight.

- Use the pause‑at‑will feature to plan before committing to risky actions.
