About Dominions 6 - Rise of the Pantokrator
Dominions 6 – Rise of the Pantokrator puts you in the role of a Pretender God who rules a nation and seeks to become the ultimate Pantokrator. You choose a divine form, set your dominion, and command armies, spells, and sacred warriors in a turn‑based 4X framework.
The title supports solo, PvP, and co‑op play on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with online, LAN, and shared‑screen options. New nations, larger forces, and the Glamour magic path broaden strategic depth while keeping the series’ mythic inspirations.
01 / THE GUIDE
Pretender God Creation
At the start you decide what kind of Pretender God you are, ranging from arch‑mages to titanic monuments. This choice determines your personal strengths, the effects of your dominion, and how your sacred warriors receive bonuses.
Your dominion influences lands, followers, and sacred soldiers; if the dominion is destroyed you also perish. This link makes the pretender’s design a foundational decision for every campaign.
- Match your dominion’s bonuses to the native units of your chosen nation.
- Try several pretender archetypes in short games to see how each shapes early expansion.
02 / THE GUIDE
Victory Conditions
To ascend you must defeat opponents by one of three methods: conquering their territories, extinguishing their dominion, or claiming the Thrones of Ascension. Each path emphasizes a different strategic focus.
Selecting a preferred condition early guides your expansion, diplomatic, and magical priorities throughout the match.
- Align army composition with the victory path you intend to pursue.
- Watch enemy dominion levels to gauge when an extinguish strategy becomes viable.

Glamour Magic Path
Dominions 6 adds Glamour, a new magic path that handles illusions, phantasms, dreams, and forgotten legends. This replaces the previous Air‑magic handling of illusion effects.
Glamour introduces many new spells, items, and sites, affecting nations that adopt the path and expanding the magical toolbox for all players.
- Explore Glamour spells for indirect battlefield control rather than direct damage.
- Combine Glamour items with other magic paths to create hybrid effects.

Army Scaling and Mount Separation
Armies are larger than in Dominions 5, with increased incomes and resources but higher mage costs. Battlefield‑wide spells are harder, shifting balance toward mid‑tier magic.
Riders and mounts now have separate statistics and can be targeted individually, influencing cavalry tactics and nations that rely on mounted units.
- Allocate resources to sustain larger forces while budgeting for expensive mages.
- Target mounts separately to disrupt enemy cavalry without harming riders.

Multiplayer Modes
The game supports single‑player, PvP, and co‑op across online, LAN, and shared/split‑screen configurations. Team play lets everyone take turns simultaneously, streamlining longer matches.
Cross‑platform multiplayer is available, allowing Windows, macOS, and Linux users to compete or cooperate together.
- Use shared‑screen mode for local co‑op sessions to keep everyone engaged.
- Leverage LAN play for low‑latency matches when online connectivity is limited.
