01 / THE GUIDE
Rail Shooter Gameplay
Older Neptune moves along a fixed path while players aim and fire at incoming threats. Obstacles, flying bullets, and mischievous enemies can lunge at any moment, requiring quick reflexes. The HP bar tracks survivability; when it depletes, the game ends unless points are sacrificed in Normal mode to continue.
- Focus on maintaining a clear line of sight to spot fast‑moving obstacles early.
- Watch the HP bar closely; early avoidance can reduce the need for point sacrifices.

Stage Variety
Five distinct stages draw inspiration from Gamindustri’s Nations, each presenting its own visual theme and enemy patterns. Among the bosses is Neptune’s least favorite food, a giant eggplant. Each stage presents its own obstacles and enemies to blast through as you fly along the rail.
- Notice how each stage’s aesthetic hints at its enemy behavior.
- Use the stage order to practice tougher patterns before the final eggplant boss.

Coin Gauge and Friends
Collect special coins to fill a gauge displayed on screen. When full, a character icon appears above the gauge and assists for a limited time, helping to eliminate enemies. There are nine possible friends to unlock, each providing temporary support during the coin‑gauge window.
- Prioritize coin routes that keep you in safe zones while still filling the gauge.
- Experiment with different friends to see which assist style fits your play rhythm.

Difficulty and Scoring
Two difficulty settings—Normal and Hard—are available as you try to get the highest score. In Normal mode, players may sacrifice points to continue after a game over, offering a chance to improve their high score without restarting from zero.
- Start on Normal to learn patterns, then try Hard for an added challenge.
- Track your point sacrifices in Normal mode, since sacrificing points costs you score.

Controller Support and Steam Features
The game includes full controller support, allowing players to use gamepads for all actions. Steam integration provides achievements, cloud saves, and trading cards, enhancing replay value. Family Sharing lets multiple accounts access the game on the same device, while single‑player mode ensures the experience is self‑contained.
- Enable cloud sync to keep progress across reinstallations.
- Check the achievement list for optional challenges that encourage varied playstyles.
