About DigDigDrill
DigDigDrill blends a mining adventure with hack‑and‑slash style upgrades. Players dig downward, collect ores and treasure chests, and must surface when the inventory is full. The gathered minerals feed a puzzle‑like smithing system that creates drills with special effects.
Drills can be upgraded by fitting ores into blueprints, granting effects such as faster movement or stronger explosions. Progress is measured by floor number, and reaching the 999th floor unlocks additional stages that introduce new challenges and rewards.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Gameplay
The main loop has players digging into the ground to collect ores and treasure chests. There are no enemies and no time limits, so the pace is set by the player while watching the bag meter.
When the bag fills, the player must return to the surface to unload before digging deeper. Floor number tracks how far the player has descended, and the 999th floor opens extra stages.
- Monitor the bag meter to plan surface trips efficiently.
- Dig in steady bursts to reduce the frequency of returns.

Drill Smithing
Collected minerals are used in a puzzle‑like smithing system. Players fit ores into a blueprint, and the arrangement determines which special effects the new drill receives.
Effects can include movement‑speed boosts, explosion enhancements, or other abilities. Experimenting with ore placement lets players discover combinations that suit their digging style.
- Try several ore groupings to see which effects appear.
- Keep a note of successful blueprints for later use.

Equipment Synergy
Drills can carry multiple special effects, and some effects interact to improve overall performance. For example, a speed boost helps carry resources quickly, while an explosion effect clears blocks efficiently.
The game encourages players to consider how each effect complements the others, allowing a personalized strategy that balances speed, power, and resource management.
- Pair effects that support each other, such as speed with block‑clearing power.
- Test one new effect at a time to gauge its impact.

Treasure and Rewards
Treasure chests appear while digging and may grant special bonuses. One example is a 20% chance to add a piercing attack effect, and another is a sight‑area increase after brightening blocks many times.
These rewards become especially valuable after the 999th floor, where later stages present tougher block configurations that benefit from enhanced abilities.
- Target blocks likely to hide chests to increase reward frequency.
- Upgrade drills before tackling post‑999 floors to make use of new effects.
