About Dicey Dungeons

Dicey Dungeons drops you into a fast‑paced deck‑building roguelike where you become a giant walking die battling through a procedurally generated dungeon. The goal is to survive the ever‑changing rooms and ultimately confront Lady Luck, the Goddess of Fortune.

The game offers six distinct playable classes—Warrior, Thief, Robot, Jester, Inventor, and Witch—each with its own play style. A free DLC, “Dicey Dungeons: Reunion,” adds six brand-new episodes to explore.

01 / THE GUIDE

Playable Classes

Six wildly different classes are available: Warrior, Thief, Robot, Jester, Inventor, and Witch. Each class comes with its own unique abilities, such as the Thief stealing random enemy equipment each turn.

The Robot gains dice by playing a push‑your‑luck blackjack game, while the Inventor must destroy equipment after each fight to craft new gadgets. Mastering a class involves learning its quirks and building decks that complement its mechanics.

  • Experiment with multiple classes to see which play style feels most natural.
  • Observe how each class’s unique mechanic interacts with the random dice rolls.

02 / THE GUIDE

Procedural Dungeon

The dungeon layout is generated anew for each run, ensuring endless replayability. Rooms, enemies, and loot appear in unpredictable combinations, forcing players to adapt their strategies on the fly.

Because the layout changes every time, no two play‑throughs are identical, keeping runs fresh and unpredictable.

  • Adapt your deck after each encounter to handle new threats.
  • Take note of recurring enemy patterns to anticipate future rooms.

03 / THE GUIDE

Enemy Variety

Dozens of enemies populate the dungeon, ranging from vacuum cleaners that drain health to mythological creatures and malevolent snowmen. Each enemy type presents distinct attack patterns and rewards.

Facing a diverse roster encourages players to tailor their decks and tactics to counter specific threats, adding depth to each encounter.

  • Identify enemy weaknesses early to prioritize effective cards.
  • Balance offensive and defensive options to survive tougher foes.

Audio & Visual Style

Chipzel provides an upbeat, energetic soundtrack that matches the game’s fast pace, while Marlowe Dobbe’s artwork delivers a charming, adorable aesthetic. The combination creates an engaging atmosphere throughout each run.

The visual and audio design reinforces the whimsical tone, making even challenging moments feel lively and approachable.

  • Enjoy the energetic soundtrack while you play through each run.
  • Appreciate the art style as a guide to thematic enemy design.

Platform Support

Dicey Dungeons runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, offering full controller support and Steam Cloud integration. Features such as Steam Achievements, Trading Cards, Remote Play on Phone and Tablet, and Family Sharing are also available.
