About Desvelado

Desvelado is a 2D precision platformer that tasks the immortal hero Vampy with turning off every light in his castle before he can finally rest in his coffin. Each room presents a puzzle that must be solved by sliding, jumping, and dashing while avoiding fast‑moving ghosts.

The game contains more than 100 rooms spread across three zones—Castle, Dungeon, and Catacombs—and ends with three final levels that combine the skills learned. Optional bonus rooms reward extra collectibles for players who explore every corner.

01 / THE GUIDE

Core Gameplay

Players move Vampy in classic 2D platformer style: slide, jump, and dash to reach lights and avoid enemies. The description emphasizes precision and agility, noting that each room has its own solution while allowing alternative approaches.

Deaths are frequent, but the game lets you restart instantly, encouraging rapid experimentation with movement and puzzle tactics without long penalties.

  • Observe the layout of platforms before your first jump.
  • Use the quick restart to test different movement patterns.

02 / THE GUIDE

Red Flame Dash

Consuming a red flame grants Vampy a single dash that can reach lights otherwise out of range. The dash can be used only once per red flame, so a new flame must be found for another dash.

Because dashes are limited, planning routes that include red flames becomes essential. The dash lets Vampy switch off a light that seemed too far to reach.

  • Mark the positions of red flames before committing to a dash.
  • Reserve a dash for the light that is farthest from your starting point.

03 / THE GUIDE

Ghost Enemy Speed

Ghosts sometimes move quickly, described as having “too much sugary drinks.” Their speed forces players to stay agile and time jumps precisely to avoid contact.

Fast ghosts create tight windows for movement; lingering in a corridor can let a ghost catch you, prompting another immediate restart.

  • Practice short hops to stay ahead of fast ghosts.
  • Keep your movement fluid to avoid unnecessary pauses.

04 / THE GUIDE

Level Structure

The castle is divided into three main zones—The Castle, the Dungeon, and the Catacombs. Each zone contains many rooms that build on previously introduced mechanics.

After mastering each zone, three final levels test everything learned, while optional bonus rooms provide extra challenges and collectibles.

  • Treat each zone as a tutorial for the next.
  • Note recurring puzzle elements that evolve later.

05 / THE GUIDE

Bonus Levels & Collectibles

Some rooms are labeled as bonus levels; completing them grants an award. Completing these bonus levels is how you can get all the collectibles.

Finishing all bonus rooms is optional, but doing so gives a sense of completion and adds replay value for thorough players.

  • Explore each corridor for hidden bonus doors.
  • Prioritize bonus rooms after main objectives are cleared.
