About Denshattack!

Denshattack! puts you in the driver’s seat of a gravity‑defying train that can ollie, kickflip, and grind across stylised Japanese locales. The single‑player adventure pits you against the Miraidō corporation and a parade of increasingly wild bosses, from magical mecha girls to moving castles.

Progression is tied to points earned for flips, tricks, and clean landings. As you rack up high scores you travel from Kyushu’s countryside through domed metropolises, volcanic islands, snowy fields and beyond, gaining the respect of underground gangs and unlocking fresh challenges.

01 / THE GUIDE

Gameplay Mechanics

You ride a custom train that can perform skate‑board style tricks while navigating city streets, meadows, volcanoes and oceans. Points are awarded for each flip, grind and landing, encouraging players to chain tricks for higher scores.

The core loop involves defeating Miraidō’s reimagined Japanese trains and confronting a lineup of madcap bosses that become wilder as the game advances.

  • Chain multiple tricks to increase point multipliers.
  • Prioritise clean landings to maintain momentum.

02 / THE GUIDE

Train Customisation

Your train can be customised, letting you alter its appearance while you ride. Customisation is linked to the progression from a naive beginner to a seasoned pro.

A personalised ride also signals your standing within the underground network of gangs and rebels you encounter across the journey.

  • Experiment with visual styles to keep runs fresh.
  • Choose components that feel comfortable for your trick style.

Boss Battles

The game features bosses ranging from mecha magical girls to mechanical worms and a Denshattacker army. Each encounter escalates in absurdity, requiring you to apply learned tricks to stop them.

Defeating bosses advances the story, unlocks new regions, and adds fresh challenges to the overall quest against Miraidō.

  • Observe each boss’s pattern before attempting high‑risk tricks.
  • Save your highest‑scoring combos for moments when the boss is vulnerable.

World Regions

Travel spans from Kyushu’s countryside through Osaka and Tokyo, now sealed under domes, to Hokkaido’s snowfields and beyond. Each region introduces fresh challenges and rules to break.

The varied environments—meadows, volcanoes, oceans—affect the visual backdrop and may influence the style of tricks you can perform.

  • Adapt your trick selection to the terrain for smoother runs.
  • Explore each region fully to discover hidden shortcuts.

Platform and Controls

Denshattack! is available on Windows and supports full controller features, including DualShock and DualSense compatibility, as well as a keyboard‑only option. Steam Achievements, Cloud saves and Family Sharing are also supported.

Camera comfort and custom volume controls let players adjust the experience, while the game recommends using a gamepad for optimal control.
