About Defy Gravity Extended
Defy Gravity Extended is an action platformer that mixes classic platforming with gravity‑based puzzles. The heroine Kara wields a gun that creates pockets of gravity and anti‑gravity, letting her boost jumps, hover, and shift objects or platforms.
The title delivers 24 distinct levels, a separate quest mode with another 24 levels, a custom soundtrack, eight Steam achievements, full Xbox controller and keyboard/mouse support, captions, and Steam Family Sharing.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Mechanics
Kara’s gun generates localized gravity or anti‑gravity zones. These zones can lift her higher than a normal jump, allow her to hover briefly, or pull and push environmental objects, turning each obstacle into a puzzle element.
Effective play hinges on placing zones at the right moment and location. The physics engine reacts instantly, so timing and spatial awareness directly determine whether a gap can be crossed or a block can be moved.
- Start with small gravity pockets to gauge jump boost before attempting larger gaps.
- Use anti‑gravity on a platform you need to keep steady while you cross.

Level Structure
The base campaign contains 24 unique levels, each built around platforming challenges that require gravity manipulation. Obstacles range from static blocks to moving platforms that react to Kara’s zones.
Design encourages creative use of the physics engine; many paths become reachable only after shifting a platform or creating a temporary lift, rewarding experimentation over memorisation.
- Survey a level’s layout before firing zones; some objects are meant to stay static.
- Look for hidden routes that appear once a platform has been moved.

Quest Mode
A second quest mode adds an additional 24 levels that “radically change the game.” These levels reuse the same mechanics but rearrange puzzles, platform placements, and gravity challenges.
Because the layout differs, solutions from the main campaign often need adjustment, offering fresh problem‑solving opportunities without introducing new abilities.
- Approach each quest‑mode level as a new puzzle; previous shortcuts may not apply.
- Re‑evaluate gravity zone placement when familiar obstacles appear in altered configurations.

Input Support
Defy Gravity Extended supports both Xbox controllers and keyboard/mouse setups. All actions, including firing gravity or anti‑gravity zones, can be performed with either input method.
Full controller support means no device switching is required during play, allowing players to choose the configuration that feels most comfortable for precise zone placement.
- Map controller buttons to gravity zones for quicker reactions.
- Adjust mouse sensitivity if you prefer fine‑grained placement.

Achievements & Extras
The game features eight Steam achievements that reward specific in‑game milestones, such as completing levels or mastering certain mechanics.
Additional extras include a custom soundtrack, captions for accessibility, and Steam Trading Cards, all of which are available without extra purchases.
- Review the achievement list early to plan routes that satisfy multiple goals.
- Enable captions if visual prompts help you track objectives.
