About Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic drops you and up to three teammates into the procedurally‑generated mines of Hoxxes IV. As dwarf miners you must explore cavernous tunnels, extract minerals and survive waves of alien creatures. The game blends action‑focused shooting with cooperative teamwork, letting each player choose a distinct class that contributes unique tools.
Every mission’s layout, enemy spawns and environmental hazards change each run. With over fifty enemy types, eleven biomes, fully destructible terrain and thousands of cosmetics, the title offers hundreds of hours of co‑op play without timed battle passes or gated content.
01 / THE GUIDE
Four Dwarf Classes
The game provides four specialized dwarf classes. The Scout lights the way with a flare gun and moves quickly using a grappling hook. The Gunner supplies heavy firepower and protects teammates with an impenetrable bubble shield.
The Engineer places sentry guns, land mines and throws 40 mm grenades for defensive support. The Driller cuts through rock with handheld drills and can clear obstacles using a flamethrower and C4 charges.
- Combine Scout speed with Gunner protection for balanced offense and defense.
- Use Engineer sentries to guard choke points while Driller creates new passages.

Procedurally‑Generated Caves
Each mission generates a new labyrinth of tunnels and caverns, ensuring no two runs are identical. Players must rely on traversal tools to navigate narrow passages and vast open spaces.
The environment is 100 % destructible, allowing miners to dig tunnels, collapse stalagmites and seal off dangerous routes, shaping the battlefield to their advantage.
- Create shortcuts early to reduce travel time.
- Collapse unstable formations to block enemy approaches.

Distinct Biomes and Flora
Deep Rock Galactic features eleven separate biomes, each with unique cave formations, colorful flora and hazardous fauna. Visual differences help players identify the area they are in.
Biomes also influence the types of enemies that appear, requiring teams to stay alert and adapt their tactics as they move between regions.
- Watch for biome‑specific visual cues to anticipate enemy behavior.
- Adjust positioning based on the layout typical of each biome.
04 / THE GUIDE
Over 50 Enemy Types
The mines are defended by more than fifty alien creatures that bite, slash, spit acid or fly. Their attacks vary, and they can ambush from above, below or through walls.
Team coordination is essential; players must watch each other's backs and use class abilities to counter the diverse threats that emerge during extraction missions.
- Focus fire on flying enemies to prevent aerial harassment.
- Use the Gunner’s shield when swarmed by melee attackers.
