About Dealer's Dice

Dealer's Dice drops you into a mysterious game room where invading entities race toward the end of a table. Your only tools are a handful of dice and the willingness to gamble on each roll.

Each run challenges you to balance safe acceptance of dice results against risky rerolls, while drafting modifier cards and arranging dice defenses. Successful runs grant chips and tokens that let you unlock rarer dice, enlarge the betting table, and boost future attempts.

01 / THE GUIDE

core-gameplay-loop

The central loop revolves around stopping entities from reaching the table’s end. You roll dice, decide whether to keep the result or gamble on a reroll, and place dice as defensive units. Every roll directly influences survival, making each decision a high‑risk choice.

Rerolls are presented as gambles: they may produce higher‑tier dice that improve defense, or they may worsen your position. The loop repeats until either the entities breach the table or you successfully repel them, ending the run.

  • Observe how often rerolls improve your defense before committing; occasional patterns may guide risk assessment.
  • Consider keeping a low‑tier die if it already blocks an entity, as a reroll could produce a less useful result.

02 / THE GUIDE

dice-collection-and-rarity

Dice come in varying rarities, each offering different defensive potential. Collecting rarer dice expands your options for arranging defenses and can create powerful synergies when combined with modifier cards.

New dice are unlocked using chips and tokens earned from runs. As your collection grows, you can experiment with more complex setups that may turn poor luck into strong firepower.

  • Focus early runs on gathering a diverse set of dice to explore different defensive configurations.
  • Track which rarities tend to appear after rerolls to better gauge the risk of gambling.

03 / THE GUIDE

modifier-cards

Modifier cards are drafted each run and can interact with your dice to enhance your defenses. These cards introduce additional strategic layers, allowing you to boost defense or create combos.

Because cards are chosen per run, the same dice can behave differently depending on the drafted modifiers, encouraging experimentation with countless combinations.

  • Pair high‑tier dice with modifiers that amplify their strengths for maximum defensive impact.
  • Test low‑tier dice with supportive modifiers to discover unexpected synergies.

04 / THE GUIDE

board-arrangement-and-defenses

The board acts as a betting table where you place dice to block invading entities. Placement is freeform, letting you design defensive lines that suit the current dice and modifiers.

Strategic arrangement can compensate for unlucky rolls; positioning a modest die in a critical spot may stop an entity that would otherwise slip through.

  • Prioritize placing dice where entities are closest to the table’s end to create a buffer zone.
  • Experiment with spreading dice versus clustering them to see which layout best handles wave patterns.

05 / THE GUIDE

progression-and-rewards

Each completed run awards chips and tokens. These currencies are used to unlock new dice, expand the betting table, and strengthen future runs, providing a sense of growth beyond a single session.

Progression continues across runs, encouraging players to refine strategies over multiple attempts.

  • Save tokens for unlocking dice that fill gaps in your current collection rather than expanding the table prematurely.
  • Use chips to experiment with table expansions only after you have a reliable core defense.
