About Deadly Trick
Deadly Trick is an anime‑style social deduction game set in the mysterious Lastope School. It supports 5‑8 players who each choose a role that determines whether they work to finish class activities and escape, or secretly eliminate others.
The game alternates between clue‑gathering after an incident and a high‑stakes Class Trial where players must identify the hidden Shadow. A correct deduction lets the group continue, while a failed trial results in the execution of every non‑Shadow participant.
01 / THE GUIDE
Choosing White or Shadow
At the start each participant selects either the benevolent White or the covert Shadow. Whites aim to complete class activities and find an exit, while Shadows work in secret to eliminate other players.
The chosen role defines a player’s objective and influences how they interact during investigations and trials, creating a tension between cooperation and deception that drives each round.
- Balance the number of Whites and Shadows to keep deduction challenging.
- Watch early player behavior for subtle actions that may hint at a Shadow.

Investigation After an Incident
When a player is eliminated an investigation begins. All remaining participants move to the crime scene to collect clues that could reveal the Shadow’s identity.
Collected clues are organized into statements, which become the primary material for discussion during the subsequent trial. Accurate note‑taking is essential for effective deduction.
- Write down each clue as soon as it is found to avoid forgetting details.
- Compare your statements with others to spot inconsistencies.

Class Trial Deduction
After investigation, the Class Trial forces players to discuss their statements and vote on who they believe the Shadow is. The group must identify the culprit before the trial ends.
If the chosen player is the Shadow, the round continues; if not, every non‑Shadow participant is immediately executed, ending the round for them.
- Encourage every player to share their statements for a complete picture.
- Focus on contradictions between statements to isolate the likely Shadow.

Player Count and Game Setup
Deadly Trick is designed for groups of five to eight players, allowing both small and medium‑sized sessions. The game lists both single‑player and multiplayer modes, indicating flexibility in how a session can be arranged.
Setting up a game involves gathering the desired number of participants, selecting roles, and beginning the first class activity, after which the investigation‑trial loop starts.
- Use the upper player limit to increase the variety of statements during investigations.
- Adjust the ratio of Whites to Shadows to match the group’s preferred difficulty.

Platform and Feature Support
The title is available on Windows and includes online multiplayer, co‑op, PvP, and Steam Cloud as listed features. Family Sharing is also supported, allowing multiple accounts to access the game on the same device.
These features indicate that players can connect online for deduction sessions and that the game can be shared between family members, though no specific gameplay function is tied to Steam Cloud.
- Take advantage of Family Sharing if multiple household members want to try the game.
- Check the online multiplayer options to ensure all participants can join the same session.
