About Deadline Escape

Deadline Escape drops you into a ruined world where survival is the only aim. You explore four distinct map scenarios, gathering food, water, weapons and other loot while avoiding zombies, rebels, renegades and bosses.

Your Hideout serves as a base for storing supplies, managing a grid‑slot inventory and preparing for the next raid. Each map runs its own countdown, and you must escape before the deadline expires.

01 / THE GUIDE

Hideout Management

The Hideout is a personal hub where you store supplies and manage a grid‑slot inventory. It also contains a Secure Container for valuable items and provides access to traders before you head out on a raid.

All collected items—equipment, weapons, consumables, materials, keys and quest items—are kept in the Hideout, allowing you to organise resources before each map countdown begins.

  • Place food and water in the most accessible slots to keep hunger and thirst low.
  • Use the Secure Container for items you consider rare.

02 / THE GUIDE

Survival Mechanics

Health, stamina, thirst and hunger are tracked continuously, so you must locate food, water and rest to keep the meters from dropping to zero.

The game features day/night and weather cycles, which are visible changes that occur while you explore the maps.

  • Check the thirst meter often; dehydration can end a raid quickly.
  • Plan rest periods when stamina is low to avoid being caught by the countdown.

03 / THE GUIDE

Map Exploration

Four map scenarios each contain loot, hidden dangers and an individual countdown timer. You must gather enough resources and reach the exit before the timer runs out.

Each map includes enemies of different types—zombies, rebels, renegades and bosses—so you will encounter a range of combat situations.

  • Scout the perimeter first to locate safe zones and resource caches.
  • Avoid unnecessary fights with bosses until you have sufficient gear.

04 / THE GUIDE

Difficulty Modes

Softcore mode is described as a more forgiving survival option, while Hardcore mode is presented as a brutal test where every decision matters.

Both modes use the same core systems—health, stamina, hunger, thirst and the map countdown—but differ in the severity of consequences.

  • Begin in Softcore to learn map layouts before trying Hardcore.
  • In Hardcore, conserve ammunition and limit risky engagements.

05 / THE GUIDE

Quest and Progression

More than 200 quests of various types are available, offering rewards that unlock new NPCs, maps and Hideout functionalities.

Leveling up grants access to additional items, equipment upgrades and new gameplay features, expanding your survival options.

  • Target early quests that reward food, water or essential gear.
  • Balance quest work with scavenging to avoid over‑extending.
